WOW Jason great video. You've got a new fan. LOL I used the plastic dust keeper thinking it was a door lock silencer. I know it was stupid but I didn't have the advantage of your channel 15 years ago when I reassembled all door locks in an old condo. thanks again
wow!, that was some door strike plate "High science". lots of good info, thanks. and thanks for sharing. (I always had to pre drill for a 2.5 inch / 3 inch screw. always my luck to split the door jamb)
Interesting topic especially the larger plates thanks Jason. Maybe you could do a video or two on recommended locks for various situations and budgets i.e. front door, garage, side doors and sheds.
22:37 wow you weren’t kidding Jason, I just spent an hour searching online for #8 3-inch fully threaded wood screws and came up with nothing. Maybe an item for the Lockforce store? 😂
Great video Jason...on the entry knob set strike plate the protruding metal on the back side is made to stick a screwdriver in the small slot to tighten the latch if minner adjustments is needed..also the dust covers are normally used on in electronic lock mechanism but is a nice touch for looks or if the striker hole is in bad shape.thanks for the great video buddy 😎
Mortice deadlocks here normally use levers and a curtain. The strike plates are normally better and the housing that the bolt goes into is all metal and has to be fitted. I like to use longer screws than the ones provided. Nice video Jason. Can you talk about anti cut bolts for door and anti drill measures.
SE Lock and Key haha.. when I seen the title that's the 1st thing I thought. "Will he kick in a door" lol. Thanks for taking the time to do what you do.
From about 27 min, it started to look useful. I should really start to export Scandinavian Security products to America, if it wasn’t for all of Uncle Donalds import limitations.

I've noticed the prices already going up. Especially key blanks. Once again thanks for all the useful information Jason.

Andi Archer I do have a “residential lock stocking” video in the works coming up soon that will probably touch on that :)
Who knew they would be so damn complex. Very thorough video on strike plates. 😎✌
Liked the video! Thank you!

SE Lock and Key oh deadly, I will check that out. The tuff strike looks pretty good.
good video and well explained.. thanks Jason.
Btw was I the only one hoping to see Jason try to kick in a for door?? Lol.
Russell Warren that would have been an epic lead into this video. I failed :( 😂

how do you organize all your strikes? ours are just thrown into boxes, it's a mess!
Hello.. where can i buy strike plates only.
How long are the screws on the newer Schlage strike/dust cup that hang out the back of the dust cup
It is 3" as well and the same as the other two. That was the strike plate that came with my new locks. It is a formidable strike plate and looks good.

Rune International I expect lock prices to be skyrocketing soon.
