My husband and I got married in the midst of COVID...a backyard wedding with a tent and it turned out nicely. COVID sucks but where there's a will there's a way. Celebrating our 1 year anniversary on the 25th of April!
Congratulations on your nuptials and anniversary.🎊🍾🥂. I have been to 2 backyard weddings and both were awesome, especially the one with the BBQ and ice cream truck. So much fun. The great thing about weddings is that each one is personal and unique, but when people don't get the bargains they pay for they should get their money back.
It was still a contract, neither side broke the contract, but why should he be out of money instead of them? He offered to do it outside and accommodate them and they declined.
When covid came it put a halt on basically everything, except the hospitals, where I work. People have to keep in mind that things happen that sometimes is beyond our control, but in this case glad Judge Milan ruled in plaintiff's favor
while understandable and I'm sure the plaintiffs understood he still should of returned their money considering they payed for a bar and a dancefloor for their wedding and neither was possible
@@Sassafrass95 nope he deserves to still make his money for the work and such he did. It's called suck it up, why should all vendors and wedding helpers and such suffer financially because of something beyond their control. They are out the money, oh well. He isn't wrong for keeping his money.
Plus he also offered to do it outside tto ttt and work with them and the rules, but they also denied doing it at his venue. Them denying to work with him is them breaching the contract if anything
I'm by no means a covid denier, and I supported the spirt of the lockdowns and protocols, but the contradictory and specificity of some of the protocols put in place were pretty goofy.
When there's a will there's a way These people need to protect there way of life and their businesses. And if you can't have the wedding you want there you couldn't have it anywhere unless you did it in your yard. We didn't refund money we moved the date or kept their deposit on file for a different date.
@@loveification1 1. COVID has affected everyone so everyone needs to share the consequences. 2. Defendant COULD provide- it was the governor's rule, not him. 3. Very disgusting when a wedding vendor was totally negligent and, of course, plaintiff gets full refund (like not showing up to provide service), yet this guy was all prepared and ready on his end and gets the same punishment. At least Milan acknowledged it wasn't his fault.
well, all the law ppl DID say that there would be a TON of covid cases after the restrictions were lifted. iF all the cases go like this, there will be a lot MORE businesses failing before covid is over.

I don’t think it’s the right time to be poking fun about so many deaths and permanent illnesses. JM is being classless, distasteful, and arrogant, we all lost something. If at first this had been taken seriously and not hidden, we could have likely gotten a grasp of it. Obama did it well when we got a case of the plague, it was quickly contained, almost no one has even heard of it. Be thankful you’re not in a body bag and stop criticize places that tried to contain this because it didn’t spread because of them, it spread from attitudes like this and those who didn’t care. Karma got some of them…it’ll get the rest too.
I love JM but when she starts on her tantrum about the pandemic and individual state mandates, she loses me there. We lost too many lives during COVID-19 to not take recommendations seriously
I think its messed up he had covid rules for his renters. If they all want to come out in their own degression and potentially get eachother sick- so be it. Let adults be adults.
Sure, but nobody knew how bad the situation could potentially get back in 2020, especially with the videos of people dropping dead on the street in India, China-or even some parts of Italy, etc. In retrospect, sure, you are right.

Awww happy anniversary! 😊
Congratulations!
Congratulations
How can he keep their money for doing nothing.

“….it’s an experience.” Divorce court next? 😅😂
Dead 💀 😂
The ruling was fair because the wedding didn't take place. But to me just go to the courthouse and call it a day.
I agree
That’s you not everyone wants that
@@dance4life1208 he is a cheapskate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't like how everything looks dead in the pictures of the wedding looks like dead weeds.
I love the judge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my all time favorite show
Me too, I like her because she's tough but she actually lets them speak, has a sense of humor and is fair!
Happy Thursday everyone. Watching from australia
It’s still Wednesday in the States. But Happy Thursday to you! 🙂
Howdy! Watching from beautiful Airlie Beach ⛱
Hey hey hey!!!
Hello from Virginia USA
Hello from PA, USA; it's Wed. here but you are a day ahead of us! : )
The defendant seems like sooooo much fun. 😂

The husband (plaintiff) talks so slow. I want to hit the fast-forward button every time that he talked.
I literally thought it was just me😂😂😂😂😂
I play these cases at 1.5 speed all the time. Makes watching quicker lol 😆
@@dharmawannab me too! Always! 🤣
Why would a venue think they can keep a deposit if event couldn’t take place.
Why should the venue be out of a contract due to something beyond their control.

Laughed at the Judge Judy reference in the Q&A at the end
he blinks non stop....
Sounds like defendant should sue the governor. Neither side here is to blame.
And the governor should sue Covid? What a dumb comment 😂
Does the defendant not have a lint roller?
"It's an experience, is such an accurate response."
“It’s an experience” 😂💀
😂 that was funny
So when will the courtroom be occupied again?
If it was a deposit you don’t get it back. They were going to have an outdoor wedding and they could have had that.
I should have a backyard 💑 wedding....oh wait I need a bf first...haha
The judge’s decision was totally fair. I really don’t understand how the defendant could justify keeping money for nothing. That’s pure greed.

What in the actual F is all over the defendant's suit??
They shojkdnt have gotten the whole amount back, if anything it should have only been half.
Why? The judge explained it all and it makes total sense to any rational person.
Oooohhhhh I really liked the defendant... what a fine man.
How many of you out there feel like you were fooled by the government when thinking about covid.....??
Omg, you are one of those ppl who blame the government for all your failures, and I’m sure you’ve have many
Omg, what is with the defendant and his incessant eye blinking, it looks like he’s trying so hard not to nod out! Seriously tho!
The whole time i was watching i was hoping the defendent would brush of his coat
Sad- they should only gotten half. It's not totally the defendant's fault.
And it wasn’t their fault either. They agreed on a specific thing and he couldn’t provide the service they agreed on. Why should they be out anything

@@loveification1 why should he be out? Covid is beyond control of both parties, they should have only gotten half back.
Massachusetts girl here too!! We had strict rules but hey governor Baker did what he had to .
Lol 😂

Simple contract case.....the defendant breached... case closed.
Neither breached technically, it should have only been half given back.
Hey everybody

It’s a wedding, not kidney surgery, they could have waited. I never understood the selfishness of people like that.
You're definitely showing your age if you inadvertently refer to a text as "email" 😅
i"m pretty sure the honeymoon will involve an "impossibility of performance".
How old are you? 10?

Who the heck are you to judge what someone else does with their life? Jerk!

I tend to agree with OP. What is the point of marriage at their age anyway? I never did understand why women line up in droves to become legal slaves.
