- It's honestly impressive how many terrible licensed games have released this year - Gollum, King Kong, and now The Walking Dead Destinies. The idea was cool; pick choices that change the storyline from the show and see how events unfold. In reality stuff barely changes, the game forgets the choices you made, and characters are barely themselves. Also, the game is awful.

Its honestly impressive that the same studio behind the King Kong game decided that just one cinematic IP stinker just wasn't enough. They took it upon themselves to make a worser "your choices affect the game's in-story events" kind of game than Telltale at its worst, while quite possibly doing it in half the time as well!
I know, right? GameMill's publishing was always a mixed bag leaning towards the stinky side, but delivering twice in this short amount of time really is a new record even for them.
Shame, because both Kong and TWD:D actually have some decent concepts, they could've been even fun if GameMill was actually concerned about delivering quality and giving their studios the time and budget they need.
@@GeminiTasiriNo no , they didn't choose these games, the companies that own the IP went specifically to them as the lowest bidder to make the game for them. Game mill may be pathetically bad, but don't forget it was greedy people in much bigger companies that signed off on this. Blame them just as much as you blame the studio
@@JackdotCI mean, yeah, I can absolutely blame both. But Game Mill, as a publisher, also has the biggest responsibilty out of all three parties (License holder, publisher, developer) to steer the project and it's definitely gonna bite them the most the next time a license gets auctioned off like this
(I don't think Skybound or Warner Bros are particularly jazzed with how TWD:D & RoK have been recieved, unless the head of licensing is one of those "there's no such thing as bad publicity" types)
Didn't they also make Gollum? Or was that another studio?
@@Jack_SlateNope, that was the now-significantly-downsized Daedelic Entertainment developing, with questionable-business-ethics Nacon coming in later in the project on the publishing side
2023 truly has some of the highest highs and lowest lows when it comes to new games.
Really amazing how just out of nowhere, there was a sudden explosion of Wiiware tier shovelware games just all appearing out of nowhere at roughly the same time, quite incredible honestly.
It makes for great content from funny streamer people at least
One of the few games she was determined to finish. She really hates us.

There's alot to s*** on this game about but one thing i'm going to s*** on is that in the tv series and the comics at the prison there was more than one prisoner still at the prison and in the tv series only two of them were evil

Wow, I'm glad I missed that one. It's like I've said before - game companies are gonna keep making these atrocities, and keep making them worse. And considering that people apparently WANT to see this kind of deuce come out, who are we to complain?
