It's produced so well, and the vocal performance is top notch, I love the harmonies used! I like how you kept the same bassline notes as the original. In my opinion, the bassline is what defines this song, especially those first few notes in the beginning, since that's the very first thing you hear when you start playing the game. What a pleasant surprise to see this song remixed in such different ways by you and @GlitchmanVGM - and within the same hour, no less! o_0 For real, the production here is next-level, and the vocals, instrumentals, and mixing are immaculate. I gotta comment on those vocals first - @MANSHIN did an incredible job in terms of clarity, expression, pitch, dynamics, and everything else that makes for a heartfelt and quality performance. And as you mentioned, the vocal processing is superb, where the audio sounds authentic, yet the subtle applied effects really elevate the sound in a way that just feels so natural. And my man, amazing work with the instrumentals - as with your other vocal remixes, it feels like a tailored accompaniment to the vocals, meant to lift up and highlight the singing - as any supporting instrumentation should! Yet, it could also stand on its own as a killer instrumental track, and in the segments between vocals, you can really feel the music pick up and take over, like at 0:39 with those cool improvised segments and the superb usage of in-game sound effects. I have to mention, this is some of your best SFX yet, the way it's used so creatively - and with tight timing (like that double spring at 1:00). It really adds both a nostalgia and overall enjoyment factor. Also, the frequent use of drum fills and transitions, variety of percussive instruments, and rhythmic mix-ups really keep the beat dynamic and interesting from start to finish. You know what they say, great minds think alike! 💭 MANSHN is on a whole new level of vocal processing-his ability to harmonize & separate the different takes to make it sound full & powerful is unreal, to the point where I'm just in awe of his talent. I'm lucky & humble to be able to work with somebody of his nature! I've been receiving a few comments & messages saying that same thing how "the song could stand alone as an instrumental" & you're totally right! I make sure there's harmonic synths playing in the background, but not loud or powerful enough to take over the vocals, just a subtle addition! We had played around with the idea of having the chorus vocals come in immediately after the drop-but in the end we decided that having an instrumental section for the first 8 bars was more beneficial & helped drive the groove of the bassline during the drop! I don't know what it is, but for me, SFX are what make the game _that_ much more memorable, becuase it's a sound that occurs from the players interaction, and when implementing these SFX in the remix, I always make sure not to throw in too much, but just the right amount to triggers those visual instances! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't anxious about releasing this remix-the original SA2B soundtrack is phenomenal & producing a remix to match the original quality is nerve-racking, but I'm honored to hear that once again I have exceeded your expectations; I appreciate your support more than you could imagine! I expected something a bit more punchy to be honest. It's a good version but it doesn't really match to the level. But the music itself without thinking of the level is great !
