Hey Sandy! Yes fun job for sure there 🥴! Glad it all panned out for ya and hopefully you weren’t scratching to much afterwards! It’s definitely coming along nicely buddy! Andrew from NB :)
I don't even try to be careful anymore when doing insulation. One way or another it gets into places you don't want no matter how careful you are. Just got to get in there and get it done! Glad to see you have your mask on because that's a scary place for insulation to get in.
Thank you for this! We live in a Tiny House near the ocean and the moisture is soooo bad. We were just discussing tearing out the ceiling and swapping out the insulation and this is exactly the information we needed. Thank you so much!
Hi Sandy thanks for sharing your build with us yeah insulating is definitely no fun but a necessary evil. I’m hoping to get a sawmill in the next year or so I like the Woodland Mills but I need something that will do a larger diameter logon here in California and we have great big pine and cedar trees so I’m not sure what I’m gonna do but I do really like watching your channel is good information thank you for being out there and doing what you do
Hey Robert. Thanks for tuning in. Glad you're liking it. I love sawmilling as a hobby. In your case I know woodmizer makes professional quality sawmills and if money were no object for me I'd have a second mill right beside my Woodland Mills sawmill for high volume automated cutting. There sure is some beautiful western red cedar and Douglas fir out your way if I'm not mistaken. You'll definitely enjoy cutting when you do get a mill. If theres any help I can provide let me know.
Next time you do a project that needs insulating try Rockwool. It's easier to work with, cuts nicer and doesn't make you itch. Well at least it doesn't make me itch and I have a real big phobia about pink glass. But I can work with Rockwool all day. It doesn't get moldy if it gets wet and the rodents don't seem to like it. And it's not even $10 more per bail.
@@sawingwithsandy Homedepot shows the price for Pink R12 at $79 and the Wool R14 at $84. If I just look at the Pink I get itchy. Absolutely hate that stuff. I'd rather freeze than install it 😂
Hey How did you insulate floor joists? What kind of insulation did you use. I'm concerned about the insulation being open to weather underneath while towing! Thank you
I used pink insulation between the floor joists after putting in osb panels underneath. Here’s a video Keeping Rodents Out of Tiny House. Installing Plywood Under Tiny House Floor. th-cam.com/video/WhhA1N2Z8-0/w-d-xo.html

Really nice all depends on location...

Yeah the Rockwool is nice stuff to use for sure. Unfortunately near me it's a good bit more expensive.
