We enjoyed your video. However, our experience was not without issues. We did try the park and cruise with a hotel along the seawall. This was a busy weekend embarkation. And the uber wanted to charge $60 to take 3 of us to the port. Obviously, I didn't take into account that this would be a high demand day for uber. I figured the uber back would have been the same amount since they would have people getting off and on the ship as well. I gave up and just got parking at lighthouse parking. I wanted the park and cruise to work for us, but it simply did not. I also thought paying a little more for the hotel in Galveston would be worth it since it included cruise parking, but when we included the extra high demand uber cost, and the issue of 3 persons with luggage, I couldnt handle the stress. I think if I was traveling solo it would have been a different scenario. We enjoyed your video and appreciated the research you put into it.
Yeah I hear ya. I saw that the Uber or Lyft was around $21 on a Monday but was probably more for those sailing out on a Saturday. My sister sailed on a Monday the week before me and her Uber was not too bad. I went the shuttle route because even as a solo booking, it was only $15 each way. I will probably go ahead and add the link for the shuttle JIC. There were many other people on the shuttle with me from my hotel and he also stopped at 2 other hotels on the way so it wasn't too bad. Thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
