After spending $1500 for this mesh system- here’s an honest take -
    1. The speeds are considerably faster on wireless devices. There’s many benefits to WiFi 7.. however, almost 0 support it. So the speeds in this video aren’t relevant to WiFi 7.
    2. When you connect devices in different parts of the home, it will not connect to the nearest node and there is NO option to manually select one in the app. Huge flaw for me. Example: if I have ring cameras on the lower level with a node 5 ft from it, it shouldn’t connect to a node 2 floors away in a master bedroom. Eero knows this is an issue yet still doesn’t fix it. Disconnecting and reconnecting the device didn’t resolve.
    3. There is no QOS capability. Could be a huge flaw for gamers who wish to have it.
    4. The $1500 price tag doesn’t justify the performance. What this video doesn’t say is why you may not get the speeds you’re hoping for. Could depend on the server it’s pulling from, the type of cables you ran, your own device limitations, and your ISP. Realistically, anyone testing on a mobile device won’t notice a difference streaming videos at 100 mbps vs 900 mbps. A test like this- maybe a laptop should be used. Downloading or installing large content and really testing limitations- not just an ookla speed test.

Hey! I know this comment is 3 months old but I’d like to add a few things.
      1. While this is true there’s an argument for using Wifi 7 for improved backhaul performance rather than just client-AP performance
      2. This is still an issue. Eero please fix
      3. QOS was in experimental features and could be enabled up until last month which it now sits in network settings in the app
      4. He’s reviewing the router’s performance and stability on WiFi 7 but personally I wouldn’t call this a review either. A few speed tests isn’t a review or a good indication of what the product is like.

I live in a one story 3 bedroom home. Do you think one node will be enough for the whole crib? I have multiple people using the internet at the same time, but I'm thinking with the speed of the eero 7 it shouldn't matter.

Depends on how big your home is. On their website they have how many sqft one node can cover. One node should be enough but it depends on the sqft of your home.

I just got Google fiber and it’s waaaaay faster and more reliable than spectrum. My iPhone isn’t capable of going any faster than 500mbs on download over WiFi for whatever reason. My Samsung gets 900mbps download speed over wifi though. Makes a world of a difference!

That’s what I wanted was that Google Fiber but they don’t have it in my area.

Replaced my Pro 6 system 3 weeks ago. I’m getting less range with the 7 which is peculiar. I’m actually thinking of returning it and going to the orbi970 for range. Any advice?

I can name 99999 reasons why not to get this. I hate sponsored videos on TH-cam. It's so hard to find a REAL review these days.

For people who are saying that the speeds shown in this video is Wifi 6... the speeds are actually based on your ISP, your modem, and what your wifi device is capable of.. The Eero Max 7 is able to do much higher speeds. So this may be the case where he either has to increase his internet plan, or swap out his modem

Damn those speeds is crazy fast.
I have AT&T fiber (1G) and wonder what my speeds would be like. Good stuff man 💪

If you have fiber you should be getting closer to the 1G...at least that was my experience when I made the switch...it legit opened up the speeds I felt.

500$ just to get half the speed that my Wifi 6 200€ provides, these ads are getting outta hand.

Mesh systems are more about the seamless transition from node to node as opposed to speed.
