@@nisyahhh994 if ur select ur text file, then click on view, and choose the 'file name extension' option (in windows 11, go to view-->show-->file name extension) then u can change it easily
Hello GeekyScript, thank you for the tutorial ! I have a problem, When I start compiling on CMD and I do the same exact thing as you did, it shows me " HelloWorld.java error: file not found: HelloWorld.java" Idk wheres the problem?
I have done all your step and once I type java -version, I pop up the whether I allow the colsole launcher to change my computer, and I type yes , it has nothing shown up
I got all correct till the part of changing the data file to HelloWorld.java and writing in the cmd pannel where it said that the file didn't exist and that it was still a Text Document

u need to enable file name extension... to make it .java.. and not .txt

go to the command line and type echo $PATH to see if a path variable is assigned for java or not, otherwise assign it
