It’s crazy how I found a video that was posted 2 hours ago on this opening when I was looking for famous kings gambit openings so I can add it to my repertoire. I will definitely start using this opening for it is very fun looking and romantic. Thank you for making this video. (And I did watch your video on the best kings gambit player, very cool)
There’s a reason this is my favorite opening. No one plays it at my level and every time I play f5 there’s a noticeable pause cause they never know what to do lol
i always forget how early it was that the queen became so powerful. like a hundred years before this even. does anyone know when en passant came about?
I just wanted to mention that if the queens are exchanged, black might not have as much of an advantage since the black bishop can give a discover check. Just something to keep in mind! 😊
In this video, you showed Clemenz Defense or Clemenz Gambit... However, Latvian Defense or Gambit : 1.e4e5 2.Af3f5 etc. Schliemann Variation is 1.e4e5 2.Af3Ac6 3.Fb5f5...
fantastic work in the tutorial and also in the description with the separate chapters - Marco do Brazil

Thanks for showing us these games! 4th and 5th games were super interesting - not the main line, but looks vicious
Loved the video, id really like to see a video on the blackmar diemer gambit too
Good idea
@@SammyChess1 thanks :D
I really enjoyed your step by step analysis of these Latvian Gambit games. Thank you! :)
Try a video on the benko gambit nice video though 👍
Good idea! :)
Thank you for your insight
10:58 idk what happened in game 4 but why king go to d1, bishop e2 would be the best, and it would protect the knight attack from g4.
ahh how I remember that glorious game between Greco and Lebron James
very interesting to see the different style of chess back then
great analysis!
Good video
Thank you! 🙂
So you’re telling me the rich and noble classes who learned to play this game did this stuff. Ig they better things to do then study.

Never knew Alexandra was THAT old
its better miove NE4 neither ND4 bcs of king can capture the knight and so you will loss the piece 14:13
8:55 why did black not take the queen

3:20 If he captures En Passent then you don't have to take it with the knight he can just take the queen.😂😆
Haha you are right! All i was focused on was the En Passant… 😝

Wasn't en passant added later than Greco's time?
10:32 opponent is very famous 🙂
Hehe 🙃
Latvian gambit aka black's Vienna game
5:20 It’s already checkmate Qg8.
@matthysuys9084. No Qg8, allows king takes knight and escape. It's Qe7, Kh8 forced, then Qh7 checkmate
❤
Suprb
