Nice to see someone do the job of removal and install showing both right and left sides , not skipping ahead and fast forwarding of video, I am going to put the exact same light housing they did on this video, and I use HID aftermarket kits. Nice video thank you .
SO many of your videos have been incredibly beneficial to my 06 stang!! Thanks for all you do brother, really sincerely appreciate it!! Please keep ‘em coming! 👊🏾🙏🏾
Yes THANK YOU!!!!! Purchased a light kit for my wife's car for Christmas and watched other videos with crappy instructions until I saw this one. VERY informative about the dismantle and installation of the lights. Great job sir!!!!!
Just used this video and it's the best how to video I think I've ever used. Everything was perfect except for not mentioning to reuse the red spacer on the passenger side light. Thank you... minimal effort and saved hundreds I bet.
FYI , install the spacers onto bulb fixture, much easier than trying to fit into headlight. Without spacers bulb will most likely vibrate plus let moisture into fixtures.
Since purchasing my 2006 Stang last October, sir, your videos have helped me so much and recently, I replaced my rear lights with a pair of new ones, and I feel that your step by step tutorial with copious details and approach has been very helpful. BTW, your last vid on the orange Vette was awesome and now, my father wants to get a pony..lol.....Best wishes and will continue to watch your vids.....Jerry from Southern California.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill. I am sure it will take longer to me than it took you, but I will be able to do it because of your detailed explanation. Cheers.
I really appreciate this video I'm actually jumping backwards from hid to the H13 halogen covers, so I can use plug and play led lamps. this video shows the process very well and its super helpful! I'm not happy with the output of the hid lights my mustang came with I mean they are ok but not near bright enough on these deer covered backroads I drive. so brighter lights are a must. Thanks a again!!
good job and video. very. Really important for me to help my son he just got his DL and his first car, mustang 2005. Same color, exactly the same. Thank you Sr.
Best video ever, my front bumper on my mustang is broken and right headlight is to along with my washer fluid reservoir I'm going to junk yard this weekend and hopefully I can get these parts I really liked this video. Thanks
Finished headlights installation Smoke Lens black and crome looks great .. Polished out the body silver paint aswell detailed polished GT wheels.car looks new again
YO THKS,IVE PERSONALLY KNOW THAT PROCESS THKS IVE DONE FORD MUSTANG MODS & STILL CURRENTLY ADDICTED TO MY STANG , THANK YOU FOR THE PROPER REFESHER IM DOING FT,REAR FOR A FRIEND. SO I HAVE TOO COME CORRECT. THANK AGAIN.
I would add put a lil bit of grease on the bolts...a smidge. And it would be a great time to upgrade the aux lights to LED. They really are much better and fairly cheap now. Thx for the vid!
This video was very helpful only thing I never thought to think about why there’s 400 thousand wires on my new headlights now i have to get someone else to do ir
On my 2006 mustang GT changed all my exterior lights upgraded to LED, and high definition lights, took a about in total 3 days with runs back-and-forth to O’Reilly auto parts lightbulbs clips etc.
We usually take the bumper off to get to the small Pony Package fog lights in the grill. The bigger GT fog lights may be different if you can get to the back of them from the top of the engine.
Boy that is the stupidest shit that you have to remove the front bumper just to remove the headlights. Was gonna sand and restore mine, but seems I'll just buy some smoked ones if Im going to go through this mess.
I bought the Ford Mustang 2005-2009 Chrome Pair Headlights Headlamps Left+Right on eBay for $59. The black housing headlights are the stock headlights. You can search eBay for both. They are relatively inexpensive.
I have to do all that just take a head light out that a bummer I just wanted to make a headlight hole so I can get more air in the intake when I race then put the headlights back on but idk now that I have to take the bumper off
The only thing it looks like you forgot was the rubber gasket for the bulb housing. When you remove the old bulb housing there is a red gasket that seals the bulb and puts pressure on the housing as you twist it in the headlight. I just replaced my headlights and I noticed the bulb housing was very loose when installed. Looking at the old headlight I noticed the red gasket stayed with the headlight so I just removed it and put it in the new headlight housing. Now the bulb housing is a little more secure in place.
Great video sir. Sir do you have a link to where you bought the headlights? And how are they holding up a year later? Do they still look new or do they have a yellow tint on them? Thank you sir!!
We purchased them at eBay. Here is a link: www.ebay.com/itm/Fit-2005-2006-2007-2008-2009-Ford-Mustang-Black-Headlights-Pair-Lamps-Left-Right-/173030082675?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

The bulbs might be placed wrong in the headlight. Try removing the bulbs and reinserting them. There should be some wiggle room to adjust the bulb when putting it back. If that doesn’t work. You might have to remove the bumper and adjust the position of the light brackets (where the three screws hold the lights in place). Then test the lights to see if they are in the correct position.
thanks to you this 50 year old mom and her 17 year old son just replaced his 2008 front headlamp. thank you very much!!!
You’re the best man! I’ve learned so much and still learning a lot from your channel about removing parts on the s197! Keep it up, it’s appreciated.

Fantastic video. Didn’t even need to get halfway through it to finish the job, very informative and helpful
This would be a great time to also clean the a/c condenser. Also it's nice to see I'm not the only one who talks to himself when working on my car 😊

I caught that also. Fortunately the red spacers can be added after the procedure in video without removing front clip.

Great video, thank you!!
You didn't put the red seal back on the bulb before you installed the new lights.
Thanks for that info- that saved us because our bulbs were loose.
Great video
Thanks for the video.
Quick question. How different is it if you have the two sport headlights in your grill? Just unplug those bulbs too?

might as well upgrade everything since its gonna take atleast an hour
@@jonniefast same ordered headlights, turnsignal lights and fog lights all for this bullshit lol
Awesome.
Tkz 4 sharing the knowledge 👍
Take the bumper off to change headlamps. 😬
This is why all the older Mustangs have oxidized lenses. 😂mine included.

thanks for uploading
Which headlights did u get? Do u recommend them? If so please share a link

Does Ford even sell an official version of the headlight? I've only seen OEM "style"
Are the brackets where the 10mm nuts are removed from part of the bumper or separate parts? Thanks
Is that a H13 connector or?
Bonjour à vous, petite question où peut on se procurer ce modèle de phare je les trouve super beaux. Merci beaucoup à l'avance .
Thanks
How long does this actually take to do

can you make one for 05-09 side markers. front and rear
Those pop right out, just need a flat head and wiggle it in the slot.
@@KingBattlonfront side markers are the turn signals and those do not pop out, only the rear markers pop out
Can I put whiter led lights to the headlights?
Most likely.
Great video. 😊Nice color paint. Pls write back and tell me what color is your mustang on this video
The color is D3 - Torch Red.
What type of headlights were used to replace? or which website did you order from i like the finish. Please let me know. Thanks
We purchased ours on eBay.
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC thank you and wonderful video very on point and instructional.
So...what do I do if the bolt on the inside of the fender breaks off?
Do you have to put a waterproof silicone ??
We did not use any silicone.
How long did this take you to do total? Like if you weren't taking video? I'd like to know how long to plan this project.
It took about an hour and a half.
Do I need to do all that if I just want to replace the lens/cover? Mine is yellow and oxidized and beyond cleaning.
Most likely have to take the lights out to either replace the lenses or the entire light assembly.
@@MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC Thanks.I just bought the car yesterday and haven't had a chance to look at it closely.
@@johnjohnson1313man if you have the money you can just replace the whole assembly if your going for a fresh look, HIDs are the best but you can still use non HIDs and it's still nice
Small drill with extension could zipped those off in no time then turn it to 1-2 to reinstall screws so won’t strip out. But great video
What size are the 3 screws for the headlights?
Ours were 10mm
Great thanks man and you know where I can get them? I bought some headlights but no screws
Great video ,but ridiculous that had to be done to change the headlight.
How do u adjust the headlight ?
Who’s got time to do this!? ...or right, we’re in quarantine...
Once you get the bumper off, it goes rather quickly. Good luck.
What about a 09 gt cs
If anyone can help me what are the first 2 10mm screws called mine are rusted and broke (all 4, 2 on each side)
They are just bolts on a plate easily replaceable with ones from a salvage yard or I’m sure they make replacement
Are the new ones the stock head lights
These new headlights are not exactly stock. They have chrome inner backing instead of black.
What about adjusting the headlights
There is an adjuster knob on the back of the light.
My lights for my mustang 05 are pointed downward (i just bought it at auction) how can i adjust them?
The bulbs might be placed wrong in the headlight. Try removing the bulbs and reinserting them. There should be some wiggle room to adjust the bulb when putting it back. If that doesn’t work. You might have to remove the bumper and adjust the position of the light brackets (where the three screws hold the lights in place). Then test the lights to see if they are in the correct position.
i’m bout to change my headlights on my 06 dustang, i can’t see a thing!
