It was my first time as a BJCP judge abroad, and I had a great time. I am not a TH-camr but I have been running a hb blog for 13 years and I totally understand that this hobby can get just too much sometimes. From time to time I stop blogging for one or two months and brew just for my self and the sheer joy of doing it. And it has worked, so far. One great thing about this hobby, as you well know, is that the physical act of brewing is not the only thing it has to offer. I've been able to meet some really interesting people who don't necessarily brew themselves, but still take part in competitions, club meetings, education, etc. When you have chops and knowledge like yours, you'll at least always find home in a community somewhere out there. I have never met you but you were a massive influence when I first started all grain brewing. I was never one for competitions but you inspired me to up my game and in that respect, I thank you.

I have been brewing for about 7 years. I even won quite a few medals around europe, even in London and Wales. However, for some time I have felt like you have. Joy and excitement is gone, it feels just like a job. I also stopped drinking almost to zero due to health. I know how you feel. I feared I was losing something I loved so much. But I realised that instead I am gaining something different. My health is getting better. And true friends stay. No matter what. All the best to you. 😊

I mean if you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it, totally fair. But i will say perhaps keep some basic kit around, a basic mash tun and fermenter, just enough in case the urge takes you again :)
That's sad to hear. It may be the end of you all grain brewing but it doesn't need to be the end of you inspiring others to be better at all things brewing and to raise a cheeky glass of something on here now and again.
Sorry to hear your news Sarah, although as you say, if you're not enjoying brewing for your own pleasure and benefit, there isn't really any point in continuing. Hi Sarah, as someone who's interest in brewing has waxed and waned over the years, I get where you're coming from. I sometimes feel as though I'm brewing out of obligation, even though I just do it for fun to share with my friends. I can only imagine having the pressure of judging and making videos would really increase the risk of burn out. I wish you all the best, and thanks so much for what you've already made on this channel. I'd happy watch anything technical or beer related you wanted to post in the future (reviews maybe?) Cheers!

I'm sorry to hear that the love for brewing is gone. Maybe it will come back now that there is no more pressure to brew. Don't sell everything off just yet.
I've held off selling up for 3 years in the hope it would come back, even buying some new gear to try and inspire me without success but now the cash and the space would be far more beneficial than holding on to gear I'm just not going to use. That being said I can always still do a small stove top batch if the urge does take me again sometime
