There is a better way, you use Inventor, then u generate the gear without thinking, while you are at it you can generate the other gear too and do the complete power calculation. It will be faster and easy.
Nice try for a beginner but this geometrical construction is a mere bad approximation, gears are constructed from the involute curve, not from circles. Google: spur gear involute curve.
i'm confused about distance between 2 circles which are used for thickness of tooth. why the parameter is 3.14? Is there any formula such like that? my parameters are z=55, m=5 mm, i couldn't make it, i ll be happy for your help :)

By ''X-zero gear'' is the chordal thickness (s) s=(m* π)/2 In the video: s=(2*π)/2=3,14 By you: s=(5*π)/2=7,853 There is a link to calculate for parameters of a gear (''X-zero gear''). ya i had same problem, play the video at 0.5 speed n do it twice or thrice the same procedure then at one point when u r solving step by step u will be able to pad the figure correctly. been there done that, felt bad when the command box pops up telling that i need to re configure the whole thing :)
