This is definitely one of Home Free's more touching heartfelt songs. The video is very sweet too. Chance's voice is perfect for this type of ballad song. These guys are my favorite a cappella group. It's all about the song & not showing off with unnecessary gimmicks.
One of the many things I love about HF is that they've let us fans into their lives in very personal ways that make it feel like we're not just fans but family. That's a rare thing and we appreciate it. Love your reactions, you are so much fun
You're right. That is one thing that makes the guys, their SOs, their family/crew so, so special. I want to a concert that was after their wedding and was surprised to see Sami at the merch table. The show was fantastic and a lot of fun, but the highlight of the night was getting to talk to Sami Matarante and congratulate her on their marriage.
This song here and I can't outrun you are probably my two favorite by Adam Chance my God his voice is mesmerizing. I love these five men so much they just bring so much brightness into my world.. Love my Boys 🏡🆓🏡🍟 and I absolutely enjoy you sweetheart you are just amazing. Make sure you watch to the very end on this song I was bawling like a baby😢
I Can’t Outrun is more of Chance and 5-part harmony throughout. Not only was it Chance’s concept, he directed the video - it’s hauntingly beautiful and another emotional ride. Please, this is a MUST!!!
I knew you'd love this !!!! From what I heard, this couple are actor friends of Chance & Sami. Remember since their marriage in May 2022 Chance said they have bought a home in Long Beach, California....which is in the Los Angeles metro area. Chance really gets to prove himself here with all those amazing runs & riffs....shows more of his great vocal talents....he's awesome. 👍👌💯
@ShyAnn291 No problem- there's so much misinformation in comment sections, it's so easy to get things mixed up. I know I would much rather someone told me if I'm getting something wrong.
Another hauntingly beautiful song by HF is What We Ain’t Got. Their singing is always amazing but that song just gets to my soul! Chance was so good on this song; we need to hear more from him. Thanks for your reaction! 😀❤️
Chance’s voice is like a warm, fuzzy blanket! This is one of my top favorites from HF and I use it like a lullaby when I need something to help me calm down to sleep.
The fact that this was Chance's song through-and-through, and the other boys completely receded into the background shows you just how talented they are as a group. The MUSIC comes first.
Dj, if you really want something that will make you tear up, Home Free and Mark Wills sing his song 'Don't laugh at me' a strong message and hard hitting video which addresses some raw truths about the society we're living in.
When the lyrics are ‘when Percy Priest breaks…’ that’s a reference a lake with a dam in the Nashville TN area. Also, the guy in the video has an uncanny resemblance to Aaron Rogers a quarterback who led the Green Bay Packers.
I already loved this song so Iwas happy that they were covering it. Their arrangement was so beautiful and I almost keeled over when they put Chance and Sami in at the end. Such a wonderful moment. If you want to see something really personal check out “Spaceship”, it makes me laugh and cry all in the same video.
Just love it when Chance takes the lead ... his voice is so warm , smooth and smoky ! My blood pressure drops 20 points whenever I listen to his beautiful tone LOL ! Adore all these guys !
"In good times and in bad" is not about the chasms of life, but the potholes. Everybody can muster their strength to overcome big obstacles. But it takes more resilience and devotion to master the small, recurring, nerve-wrecking bumps. That is what marriage is about.
For more wonderful Chance I suggest “I Can’t Outrun You “- 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful , and Chance directed the video. It’s also Chance in his lower register. Chance is such an emotive singer. He and Rob are the ones that really hit my heart and soul.
I fell in love with this song several years ago with the original artist, Jason Isbell. His work is WELL worth the reaction time. I think the guys did it justice...great work DJ!!
Hahaha gotcha! So cute and a good song for Chance. Chance got this and Austin had Stargazer Lilies trilogy for Amberly and Tim had Die a Happy Man with Jenika. The other boys were already married and so they didn’t get a song (so to speak) although Rob got the song Spaceship for his baby son. Really cute video. Boys sounded great and Chance was great for sure!🥰
Isn’t this beautiful?! Chance’s gorgeous voice backed up by the unmatchable Home Free guys. And when Tim lays down that bass, pure ear candy. This is one of my very favorites. I get chills just hearing it. Your reactions are always spot on, and thank you.
This was filmed during the pandemic, the people in the video are a real-life couple. I think that the person who filmed them was a relative of one of theirs.
One of the most beautiful songs where Chance has the lead. His voice so smooth, sexy, with so much feeling and a raw edge makes it the perfect voice for this song. The harmony is so rich. The background sounds great with the bass, the tenor voices where you sometimes hear a slightly higher (?) tenor. Or I don't really know how to describe it. In any case, it sounds to me as if a wind is blowing through it, which gives it that extra something for me. So beautiful.
When Adam Chance does I can't outrun you it's by Trace Adkins Adam put that whole video together. The harmonies are so freaking amazing in that song.. I really hope you do a reaction to that...🏡🆓🏡🍟
This is a morgan wallen song, I didn't know until just now they covered it. It's a beautiful song originally and they took it to a new level. Love from Cali ❤️
Did you hear me shouting 'don't stop, don't stop?? You nearly gave me a heart attack when you stopped the video at the end! My fave "Chance lead" Home Free song.
You soppy bugger! 😉 I'm right there with you though. This was adorable and so pretty. And as always your reaction was the CUTEST part for me! ❤ #DJAntlers
Chance voice is absolutely beautiful he is so versatile and handsome does not hurt him either. I loved the proposal. But I thought it would end maybe tragedy the way the boy’s vocals played up then down. They damned ne’er killed me. 😂😂❤
Helllo! Love anything Chance leads on! His voice cuts into my heart/soul, just really soulful and sensual. And today Home Free did a sneak peak for the Patrons of Playing With Fire video. Get ready and it is going to blow your mind! Have been listening to it for many months since their album came out. But seeing the new video the song is even better and crazy good and the video is super cool! So watch for it and be ready. Should be out soon, maybe even Friday? Not sure. Take care!!
This was filmed during lockdown- the couple are married in real life, so they were able to film together. Jimmy Bates, videographer and editor extraordinaire, knew them or found them - they also have a short role in the video for People.
From what I've heard, the couple were hand-picked by Chance for the video. I like how they actually resemble Chance and Sami, but not in an obvious way. ❤ I love Chance's voice any day, but it was especially silky smooth in this song! I replayed the same parts you did! The other guys killed it in the background, too. Those soft brushes Adam was doing were awesome and that bending of a steel guitar was amazing! If you haven't heard his "If I Could Only Fly" on his channel, you really should!!! It's gorgeous! Just him and his guitar...and that velvety voice.
I also recommend “If I Could Only Fly”. But it’s folksy, and subtle and a little sad. Maybe not everyone’s taste, but I love that style and this song particularly.
I like to think “Yours” is the follow up to this song. (It isn’t, but Chance does such a lovely job with that song and in the music video, I can pretend)
you'll never pick up lyrics from the closed captions - they're always like someone translated the words into some obsolete language & then back to English! Chance's voice puts me in mind of Smoky Robinson's. HF is my favourite acapella band - probably 'cuz they're ego-free. It's all about harmony and the song itself. This is such a beautiful song, beautifully song. Love your channel & comments!
Listen to Jason Isbell sing this from his Austin City Limits live performance. He is recently newly sober and sings it for his wife, Amanda Shires (who is a kick ass musician and fiddle player in her own right) in a very relatable, touching, and emotional performance. The way Isbell writes, compared to most radio country, is like the difference between Cormac McCarthy vs. Nicholas Sparks. Home Free has never had a problem with song selection…
One of the things that hits me with Home Free besides their beautiful harmonies and music is how much they show the love they have for their partners with the songs they choose. Everyone has a song except for Adam Rupp, I would love to see them do a song just for Adam and his wife Ericha then it would be complete. IMO
I absolutely love this whole thing, song, video and proposal. I love all the guys but Chance is definitely my favorite, his voice is just like butter. Great reaction as always.
At home in pjs. That's pretty much how mine went. Forty-two years ago. You're right -- it's not about razzle-dazzle. I've known too many who make big productions of the proposal and fail to put that effort into the marriage. This one made me cry. Oh, I've seen it before, but something about watching your reaction brought back my original emotions. It's truly a beauty.
