That final is specifically the reason no one talks about it, we had a good run against good teams like Napoli and Sevilla only to be embarrassed at the end of it all
That was my favourite European away performance since I started supporting arsenal I started watching arsenal late 03/04 season. The way we scored the goals. The timing was just perfect in European match’s it’s not just football it’s psychological battle as well. 1 goal can just shift the whole momentum that’s why that game is my favourite when auba scored because they were all over us in the first 15 min
He was a very good player and world class at a few things (e.g., first-time shots at the near post, playing with his back to goal, hold up play and flick-ons) and powerful in the air, but he had some limitations as well. For example, he wasn't great at taking players on and if he did manage to run-in behind defenders, he didn't have the burst of pace to run clear of them (not when he was at Arsenal, anyway). There were a quite a few players like that near the end of Wenger's reign-amazing at some things, but mediocre at others. Whenever everyone was 'on song', you would get goals like Wilshere's vs Norwich. However, there were a LOT of games where things didn't quite click. If Giroud wasn't connecting well with the other forwards because someone was having a bad day, there wasn't the option of trying to play it over the top and have him run in behind, and there weren't many players on the team great at crossing. I guess if Arsenal had another top quality striker at that time (one who had different strengths) so that the team was not relying on Giroud for goals, he would be more fondly remembered.
You have short memory like too many arsenal fans. Giroud was terrible, he was given too many chances. Cost us the title.. One of our worst signings in last 15 years.
Van Persie really was amazing. One of the silkiest, deadliest finishes of all time. If his prime was a bit longer he would be talked about as one of the greats.
Rob van persie AND WENGER ❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 NEVER FOUND THEM AGAIN..RVP WAS A KILLER IN THE BOX THE BEST AFTER HENRY..MOULDED BY WENGER...EVEN SAMCHEZ WAS A BEAST..BT WHO COULD WIN GAMES SOLO LIKE RVP..
I cannot watch any highlights of the last game at Highbury without something of a tear in my eye. Best night ever was the Fairs Cup win but so many other great memories there. God, I miss it.
As a Birmingham City fan I always admired the way Arsenal played football. So many gifted players that were simply a joy to watch. The list seems endless and in my time a fan of BCFC the only player I ever saw in his heyday with that much ability on our team was Trevor Francis. That said my two favourites from Arsenal (and its hard to narrow it down) would be Bergkamp and Henry. I can recall back in the day a game between Birmingham and Arsenal a midweek match cannot recall the year it finished Trevor Francis 3 Malcolm MacDonald 3
Two questions on this video How did the invincibles fail to win the champions league and how did the fabregas, van persie, nasri, song and walcott regime fail to land the premier league trophy
I don’t favour this new Arsenal team. I miss the old lot of the mid 2000s. Hopefully in the next few seasons we can experience champions league nights like beating Barca at home
We were unlucky not to win the league in his last season with us. He could have won the league with us the following season but he chose to win it with United.. He practically won the league for United the next season.
That win against Valenica isn't talked about enough. I will never forget that night ... Shame we then went to Baku and got scarred for life
please dont remind me😔
That final is specifically the reason no one talks about it, we had a good run against good teams like Napoli and Sevilla only to be embarrassed at the end of it all
@@Travisbig7 Napoli and Valencia not Sevilla
@@iykeharrison9161 thanks for the correction lol for some reason I always confuse Valancia, Villarreal, and Sevilla idk why but I just do
Auba looked so much sharper and dangerous than he does now
The first hattrick at Highbury was scored by Harry King. The final hattrick was scored by the KING.
😀😀😀😀yeah that's it
The king is Jari Litmanen
H. King then King H
Underrated comment 🔥🔥
United legend
Auba against Valencia was different gravy. Seems a shadow of his former self this season...

More of these!!! Such a joy to watch these throwback games.
This last game in Highbury brings tears to my eyes, we were never the same after...
We had many great squads after highbury, just always a player or 2 from winning the league.
@@lionezrsik always defenders
Olympiacos are turning out to be our biggest rivals these days
In Europe they replaced Bayern Munich lol
Because sokratis is there who leaking our information 😆😆
Yeah I remember the game at Emirates that season. We lost 3-2. They’ve always been a bogey club for us 🤣
That season we had both Bayern and olimpiakos in the group stage we beat peps Bayern who were on a 19 game winning run
I love watching theses videos thx as a fellow arsenal fan
Is it just me or did Arsenal not give Giroud the respect he deserved, he dug us out of loads of holes during his time as a Arsenal player.

You're completely right
You have short memory like too many arsenal fans. Giroud was terrible, he was given too many chances. Cost us the title.. One of our worst signings in last 15 years.
@Milton Simbine true
Went three important months without a goal as the main striker and rip the title.
song was too underrated
Oh how I miss champions league nights 😭
and we are back
Van Persie really was amazing. One of the silkiest, deadliest finishes of all time. If his prime was a bit longer he would be talked about as one of the greats.
King always be a King for us, Thierry Henry.
Alex Song was at his peak, and he self-destructed.
True
He set up so many of van persies best and famous goals/volleys
My heart felt so good after watching this. Titi , King of Arsenal. I could write a book about the feelings Arsenal puts me through. Highs and Lows

just painful how these teams won nothing
I’m not even from London but watching Henry score that hat trick brings tears to my eyes 😭 man what a way to close out a historic stadium
Imagine that amazing noisy from the fans we really missed the fans and also the Merce Arsane who made this Club great

I’ve been looking for that Blackburn game in high quality for ages. You’re a legend
Need an entire documentary on these, bro. Keep dropping more edits 🤟

Hard to find someone like RVP
That man, quick, sharp know where to find the back of the net with shooting accuracy really great
he took about 6 seaosn to have his first really good season tho
@@itsnotme6316 can't blame him, the pressure of living up to the standard of Bergkamp & Henry isn't exactly easy.
@@PeaceDweller facts but if someone took that long now theyd be a"flop" according to twitter
His spectacular goals
Rvp did nothing for like 6 seasons, then when he finally started popping off, he left the next season. You can't make this up.
Nowadays, no win is forgettable. It's pretty much every other 5 weeks
I honestly get soo emotional when I see the 2007-2012 Arsenal teams.
imho, only the final Highbury game is unforgettable here :) I'd forgot the other games ever existed lol
Little did arteta know that he will be managing arsenal in a few years
Song passes🥰🥰🥰
Nowadays it feels like the only joy I get from being an arsenal fan is the nostalgia
2:49 one of the best 3-man sequences I think I'll probably ever see
Thierry and the gang our legendary heroes . Miss those days a lot .
I miss early wenger era.. what a team we have back then. Beautiful play.
I love your music selection at the late part of your vid. Combined with the last Highbury match, my tears just burst out. Thank you so much! ^~^
Oh I wish that we still had Giroud, alexis Sanchez and ozil

If we would of beat Chelsea at home we would of beat Monaco then porto easy
This is where arsenal was fire🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Best 🙌🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That pass from Joel Compbell at 2:98 is so nice.
Starting to think we should never have left highbury
Had to watch these to remind me why I support this club
Thumbs up new subscribers here. And arsenal fans.
I was at that Wigan game ;).
Im jealous
@@iGooner yeah was a good day until Roger daltry (lead singer of the WHO) came on after the game and sang a really shit song haha
That pass from Campbell to Giroud 😍😍😍
Why did we get rid of Campbell 🤷♂️
And highburry for all time 🥺🥺🥺💔
Moving from Highbury was biggest mistake in Arsenal history.
This Valencia game reminds me of the recent pre-season vandalism by Arsenal FC
King Henry was lewandowski's role model... No question how it turned out for him... King master... King student..
Still mind boggling we didn't win the league when Leicester took it
We did good when fans were there
Alex song was a actual baller…so so good
The Arsenal we all loved
That song croquetta and cross..... Soooo underrated
0:09 is that Jürgen Klopp? 😂
Yes we didn’t win trophies but this team was a joy to watch. Miles ahead of our current squad.
Missing the old times ....
Mksh y video yyy. Jdi inget masa lalu gw
In fact, I really miss our scintillating days under Lè Prof. Arsen Wenger
Alex Song🥶
Amazing video
i wish id gotten to go to highbury 🔴❤️🔴
When van Persie was even better than Lewandowski..
Alex Song was moving like a prime Zidane 😮
ALEX SONG WHERE DID HE FIND THAT ONE.
"Alexander laccazette at the moment for arsenal alexander the great"...
Unforgettable moment
That's amazing
Oh what happend to Joel?😢
I really miss the old arsenal
Hol time imm say where AUBAME-BLOODCLOT AT? 😂
Alex Song was so good, cat bliv he left and it went wrong for him... He was supposed to be Arsenal's Yaya Toure
Because of our executive board, we lost precious players
Only Nice memorys i miss the futures
these are unforgettable because they don't win that often
Injuries always our biggest enemies😡😭
that valencia game...peak auba X laca
Thumbnail makes it look like Henry scored against Dortmund
That's Blackburn's away kit from that season
Alex Song was QUALITY
tbh giroud very underated.
so many delish through balls oh my😱😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯😭😭😭😍😍😍
Arsenal ❤
I miss Walcott
What a player was Alex song
Arteta hasn’t aged much lol
Still don't like how they took that goal off Henry... How the hell could they determine that was going wide?
i didn't even know that. that's just cruel
Yung chambo was a different gravy
Imagine VP in your fantasy then, tripple captained
When highbury desteklediği arsenal finished...😪
no matter how great Arsenal will not win the UCL even though in its unbeaten era
should put we win PL in White Hart Lane. Hahahahaha
giroud was too underrated
How was that a red for the Blackburn player?? 🤷🏻♂️😂
I don’t favour this new Arsenal team. I miss the old lot of the mid 2000s. Hopefully in the next few seasons we can experience champions league nights like beating Barca at home
I can’t find any European final clips.
Why did Song leave Arsenal?? That guy was a baller
when aubameyang was good
HENRY! 😲😭
What's happening with Aubameyang now?
Funny how van persie is a villain now
