Working in the cold is lousy. I don’t mind maintenance, but unless I can work off my heating floor in the garage, and the bedroom carpet I recently took out, and put on the garage floor for now, I’m not into it..hahaha Spent to much time in my younger years in a collision shop on my knees to often.. It’s pretty simple, but I enjoyed watching you bust your knuckles first…haha.
They can be a beast for sure, propane torch the plate to expand the metal then screw a nut on to protect the threads. A little non gentle persuasion with a hammer and knock the shaft out the opposite side.
Oh wow, good question. Was something like 1 3/8" but different brands of socket may have thicker wall thicknesses so you'll have to adjust accordingly.
Oh BTW, don’t open your storage box door and walk away for 12sec while the machine’s running, otherwise you burn a hole in it from the exhaust. I had it out with the manufacturer about the piss poor design, I got know where. And when you call- you get “For English Press Two” not one like the rest of the country ?
Thanks for the vid! Cheers from Sussex NB. 😃

What’s the bearing part #? I can’t find it anywhere. And thanks from NS again
Part # should be 293350037
Amazon has em for around $70 Canadian buckaroos.
Any recommendations where to get these bearings? Anybody?? 2008 can am.outlander 500 . This is my first quad,so dont know anything about this thing
Amazon is one of your cheaper options. RockyMountainATVMC is another good choice. Royal Distributing if you're in Canada is good.
hello an thankyou from n.s
You are very welcome.
Lousy design with no grease fitting in the shaft.
Almost like they want them to fail.
