We are in a real recession. Nike/Jordan brand is not a priority for most people who are struggling to pay rent/mortgages.. almost everything will sit if we have to choose between 200 for the kicks or food. Most of us have over a 100 pair. There really isn't a single needed shoe dropping. Just some that are wanted more than others. It's just my humble opinion.

I copped my pair for $150 shipped. I’m honestly taking advantage of this downturn as much as possible since I’m sure it won’t last for long. Nike/JB began to scale back on stock since a good chunk of the folks that jumped into sneakers during the pandemic are now gone and demand is falling as a result. For what it’s worth the 2000 Olympic 6s is the sneaker that got me into collecting so my nostalgia is strong with this particular pair.
As an older sneaker head, I like seeing all of these older sneakers come back but I don’t need to cop everything that comes out. I’m really only collecting 3’s and 4’s from Jordan brand. I’ve really been into wearing Air Max 1’s and 90’s lately.
6s be sitting i remember when the infrareds dropped I was able to get 2 pair on release. They didn’t sell out until a month later. 6s aren’t just sought after like other models, same with 13s

If they had red Nike AIR branding on the heal they would have been a little harder to pass up, but probably still a pass. These were hype back in the day, but now you have 10 different collabs a month next to 15 general release colorways. I fell for the hype initially, because I was thinking I’d like to have a patriotic Jordan for the patriotic holidays, but these were a little too subtle. Not to mention now the Ferrari 14’s have been confirmed, so I’m going to get real selective for the next year. White cement 4’s (a double up) reimagined met 5’s Ferrari 14’s (double up), grape 5’s, undefeated 4’s and not on my cop list but honorable mentions include the og bred 1’s, Columbia 11’s, bred 11 low, black cat 3’s, shattered backboard… and I’m sure a ton I either forgot about, don’t care about or don’t know about. These don’t even include any of the collabs or TS shoes that will surely release.
It's OK. It's okay for shoes to sit. I personally got the Scottie Pippen Olympic uptempos. I like them more. Plus I'm waiting on the Jordan 11 low diffused. The Jordan 11 diffused remind of the Jordan 11 low snakeskin. Those have a special space in my heart. I got those from the PX on Fort Bliss Texas in 2001 right before I came home on leave for the fourth July. They were a gift to myself after coming out the field from this exercise called Roving Sands. It was the first time I launched a Patriot missile.
Nike/Jordan is played out. They’re out of colorways and people aren’t feeling J’s like that anymore. New Balance took 2024 and Asics aren’t far behind. How many more Jordan 4’s or 1’s or 3’s are you going to buy? Because one pair you have is exactly the same except the swoosh is a different color? It’s just lame now. I’d rather have a wide variety of sneakers as opposed to 40 pairs of Jordan 4’s. Tell me it’s the recession when they drop Jordan 1 Chicagos and they sit or another hype sneaker like that. Until then, other brands are taking Nike customers.
