This gives me the type of gourmand I love wearing. I don't feel like food but still edible 😉 I agree, it needs gentle maturation. The oxygen needs a couple of weeks to do its work. The gourmands that I enjoy the most in my Middle Eastern collection are Vanilla Toffee, Sehr, Shaghaf Tonka and Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Edition. Shaghaf Royal is the only one I don't own. I've put off buying it for fear it's too masculine. The two I don't like in the collection are Shaghaf Oud Abyed, and Shaghaf woman. My favorites in the collection is Oud Tonka tied with Shaghaf Oud Elixir. Thank you for such a thorough and complete review. Swiss Arabian has been a favorite house of mine for several years now 😊

Some folks are gonna be disappointed by this, especially the Bianco Latte lovers. This could work for me, need to test it some more. Get a decant fam…I got mine off Etsy.

Hey, so glad to see you break this down for us. This was a love at first sniff, although I can’t put my nose straight on where I spray it right away or I’ll pick up some of those harsher notes but that quickly goes away and I’m left with a beautiful butterscotch, and I just get whiff of it throughout the wear. I’m actually not usually a fan of latonic fragrances, ( sadly fragrances, like Blanche bete turned my stomach) I don’t get that here. I agree I think this leans feminine. I’m really enjoying vanilla toffee, and I love that it lasts..

I got this one and I really like it but mine smells different than what you describe. I see that a lot of people are having wildly different experiences with this perfume. Mine is a smoky deep dark coffee vanilla that's only lightly sweet. Definitely not a safe blind buy. I got a sample off of hyggescent first so I could try it out. I'll be interested to see how it macerates over time

I am wondering if Vanilla Toffee is similar to Khamrah Q with the coffee note? I couldn't stomach KQ as found it too boozy and strong ..... like Amore Caffe but doesnt last long so wondering about Swiss Toffee .... Eclaire is my favourite of all as a BL dupe

@ want to ask your opinion on something. Somebody like myself sensitive to and Ambroxen and really can’t enjoy most fragrances that have it. Do you think that will ever improve? I was So excited to see the new Kayali with strawberries and cream and then seen the note Ambrox.😢 I’ll still go in the store and try it but definitely won’t be blind buying. So of course you know I am no expert but here is my thought on this..... I think that anything that disrupts my body or causes any type of inflammation is just not worth the risk! Let me give you a good example! Years ago I was getting lash extensions and after a couple of months of getting them done, on the regular, I developed an allergy to one of the chemicals in the glue used to adhere them to my natural lashes! I was devastated because I really like the look and convenience of having them on. But every time I tried my eyes would get super swollen and unbearably itchy! This reaction would go away after a couple of days but In the end, I decided to just stop getting them done because to me stressing my eyes/body out at that level was just not wise! That is just my opinion but maybe you should consult with an allergist when you have a chance! I am not sure I answered your question or that this is what you wanted to hear but, as you know, there are so many beautiful fragrances without Ambroxan out there.... I am sure we can find you one that will not give you an allergic reaction! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Got mine a few days ago. Not a fan really. Spent 70+. Got it after I heard Sebastian say he really liked it when he was visiting Dubai, and that he immediately got it after taking a sniff. If you like toffee, a tootzi roll kinda smell go for it. Or you can spray it around your kitchen, that’s what I do. Didn’t get any vanilla either. Not too long lasting either. The bottle is attractive and you’d think it’s the perfect vanilla. But no it’s just a dark toffee. Sorry!!

this is not what i expected from this scent, i am unfortunately very disappointed. This smells so nice like toffee at first but changes very quickly to a strong spicy, expired perfume. i bought this blind and regretted it. And for the first time in my life i am disappointed that a perfume lasts so long. it still smells the next day. Unfortunately a big no for this scent from me.
I am really sorry this was your opening experience with this one and I know it is quite frustrating! I just want to suggest that you please spray it out at least 7 to 8 times and allow it to sit for a week before trying it again on skin! You should notice an improvement and as the weeks go by it will get much better. Just a suggestion! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I got this one and I really like it but mine smells different than what you describe. I see that a lot of people are having wildly different experiences with this perfume. Mine is a smoky deep dark coffee vanilla that's only lightly sweet. Definitely not a safe blind buy. I got a sample off of hyggescent first so I could try it out. I'll be interested to see how it macerates over time

Good morning! You are going to get the same vibe but they are not the same fragrance for sure! To me Vanilla Toffee is much more of a rich and intense fragrance with a greater toffee presence! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi Arahi ! Great review and info !!!! Voux Patisserie...just did not fit with me. LOVE Liquid Brun !!! Terique is very good....LOVE= Qissa Delicious.....Lattafa- Sehr is growing on me... Love December Vanilla !... As for Shaghaf line...my fave is Azraq !!!...lol......Shaghaf-Men is great. The Oud Tonka.....just is not a fit for me. So....I am most likely going to pick up Vanilla Toffee.

I am wondering if Vanilla Toffee is similar to Khamrah Q with the coffee note? I couldn't stomach KQ as found it too boozy and strong ..... like Amore Caffe but doesnt last long so wondering about Swiss Toffee .... Eclaire is my favourite of all as a BL dupe

@ want to ask your opinion on something. Somebody like myself sensitive to and Ambroxen and really can’t enjoy most fragrances that have it. Do you think that will ever improve? I was So excited to see the new Kayali with strawberries and cream and then seen the note Ambrox.😢

So of course you know I am no expert but here is my thought on this..... I think that anything that disrupts my body or causes any type of inflammation is just not worth the risk! Let me give you a good example! Years ago I was getting lash extensions and after a couple of months of getting them done, on the regular, I developed an allergy to one of the chemicals in the glue used to adhere them to my natural lashes! I was devastated because I really like the look and convenience of having them on. But every time I tried my eyes would get super swollen and unbearably itchy! This reaction would go away after a couple of days but In the end, I decided to just stop getting them done because to me stressing my eyes/body out at that level was just not wise! That is just my opinion but maybe you should consult with an allergist when you have a chance! I am not sure I answered your question or that this is what you wanted to hear but, as you know, there are so many beautiful fragrances without Ambroxan out there.... I am sure we can find you one that will not give you an allergic reaction! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Got mine a few days ago. Not a fan really. Spent 70+. Got it after I heard Sebastian say he really liked it when he was visiting Dubai, and that he immediately got it after taking a sniff. If you like toffee, a tootzi roll kinda smell go for it. Or you can spray it around your kitchen, that’s what I do. Didn’t get any vanilla either. Not too long lasting either. The bottle is attractive and you’d think it’s the perfect vanilla. But no it’s just a dark toffee. Sorry!!

Shaghaf is one word, you shouldn't break it up like that. The GH is the equivalent of a very guttural (uvular) R in Arabic.

this is not what i expected from this scent, i am unfortunately very disappointed. This smells so nice like toffee at first but changes very quickly to a strong spicy, expired perfume. i bought this blind and regretted it. And for the first time in my life i am disappointed that a perfume lasts so long. it still smells the next day. Unfortunately a big no for this scent from me.
I am really sorry this was your opening experience with this one and I know it is quite frustrating! I just want to suggest that you please spray it out at least 7 to 8 times and allow it to sit for a week before trying it again on skin! You should notice an improvement and as the weeks go by it will get much better. Just a suggestion! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
