On the older underground stations of the Oostlijn, it looks like the ceiling has no cladding to hide cables and other infrastructure. It looks bare and unfinished. Or are they still being renovated? I do like the looks of the newer underground stations of the Noord-Zuid-lijn, although not to keen on the black ceiling above the tracks.
This is how it is, the whole line has just finished renovation. Compared to noord-zuid, nothing is beautiful :). The plans were to not change the looks of the oostlijn to much so they had chosen for this 'old fashioned' style. I do like the looks, in real its better than in video. But of course, the noord-zuid line is incredible beautiful
Dutch Translation at the bottom Nederlandse vertaling onderaan Can you do a doors opening and closing compilation on all Amsterdam metro trains including the old metro train that is no longer on the line if you have footage of its doors opening and closing and arriving and departing stations and e.g. Kun je een compilatie voor het openen en sluiten van deuren doen op alle metrotreinen van Amsterdam inclusief de oude metro trein dat is niet langer op het spel als je beelden hebt van de doirs die een sluiting openen en de aankomende en vertrekkende stations en b.
Yes they do wanna do that It's just a matter of money and time For some reason it's very difficult for the Government of Amsterdam to expand their public transport network
The new proposed "Havenstad Quarter" near Sloterdijk can trigger the construction of the subway extension. But between Sloterdijk and Central Station there are very many train options

Do you think the GVB will ever consider closing the loop between Isolatorweg and Central at the northern end via Westerpark?
Yes they do wanna do that
It's just a matter of money and time

@@RailPublicTransport There are a lot of trains between sloterdijk and Centraal, I don't think a metroline between them will ever happen.

Why are the metro numbers 50,51,52 etc instead of 1,2,3 etc and also, why is metro 52 the newest and not metro 54?
If im right 51 and 54 were the first ones
Why are the metros called 50,51,52,53 and 54 instead of 1,2,3,4 and 5?
Because everything else was taken by the tram
Elke keer als ik naar school ga neem ik de metro van Station Lelylaan naar Europaplein
Jammer dat de amstelveenlijn niet erbij was anders was het nu al 58 halte van de amsterdamse metrospoor
Nice
