(from Massachusetts) this song is indelibly burned into my mind as one of the most prodigious anime songs I've ever heard. I can distinctly remember every frame of the Naruto opening animation for this song. This was the first song I ever heard in Japanese as a kid, and it will always be a special part of my childhood that I'll never forget (and it's the first song I learned to sing in Japanese!). I'm so happy they finally did this song on the First Take and I couldn't be happier waking up on a Friday morning to hear this

A while back they were on The First Take and performed ソラニン「SOLANIN] and it was amazing.
I forgot how quick you can be this just dropped so didn't except a reaction now lol and this song is so nostalgic. Bleach was the first anime I watched so got introduced to them because of opening 7 "After dark" and Asian Kung-Fu Generation has a lot of anime songs now and none of them are bad. I'm from Norway btw.
Im from Brazil. Maybe Naruto Shippuden has not been watched by everyone who watches animes here but I bet almost every kid heard that song in Naruto classic at the time it aired on TV.

I was born in Mexico, but came to the USA when I was 5 and raised in Texas. Naruto was probably the first anime that I saw in English when I came to America, even before even knowing what anime was and it got me even more into anime. This intro was always one of my favorites from. It still is one of my favorite anime openings in general, and I just loved this performance from AKFG. It gave me so much nostalgia and brought back so many memories of when I was younger watching Naruto with my cousins and uncles. I honestly shed a tear hearing it. I don’t know what took The First Take so long to have them perform this song 😭😭😭
Its crazy how the naruto og op 2 ( this song ) visuals from anime was automatically playing along with the final fight between naruto and sasuke from og naruto man that fight and the final fight between them in shippuden really shaped a generation, a more than a decade long rivelry and friendship struggle came to an conclusion 😢😢.❤

This was amazing! They also performed a song called "Solanin" which is an incredible song written by them for the movie/manga, "Solanin". The song is very special to me. I covered this song with my band in high school in Japan and it always takes me back! The lyric is super deep.

The vocalist's voice is so emotional that it gives off that feeling of desperation. Like Yakan Hikou - Wasureranneyo, the emotion it gives is uplifting and depressing at the same time.
