6:51 Hey, julia! I just wanted you to know thank you for being so real. I've been a mess lately because almost 3 months ago, I went through my first break up, I'm having such a hard time figuring out how to take it, in addition to home life. It makes me feel seen to know that someone who has almost everything you want in life, like I can still feel sad and not have to feel bad about it. I love ur vlogs so much and everything you share. They are so funny, and you are one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to sports and school! I hope that you can get through this rough patch in your life right now, and have a great time in asia! xxx

Julia, seeing you deal with anxiety and cry for "no reason" actually helps so much and has made me feel so much less alone. It's so nice to know that other people are going through the same thing, and we don't always know why! I love your content and you so much, keep going, it will get better ❤️
I can totally relate. My acne has gotten a lot worse and it definitely changed the way I perceived myself. I hope you're doing a lot better now & thank you for being so real
Thank you for being real with us, it's so important to show the "other side" and talk about your feelings because social media usually focus only on a bright side and it skews my view of life - even if I know it's not real it's sometimes hard to remember that people are NOT perfectly happy all the time. Also, my skin has too got bad last few months, even tho it was just fine before, for me it's (probably) mostly stress and I hope to fix it during summer holiday! I wish you a safe travel today, enjoy your trip
The timing of this was insane. I genuinely experienced the exact same situation with being super anxious and crying at the tiniest things this morning. Thanks for helping me feel slightly more normal :)
I've struggled with acne for majority of my teens, i was so insecure of my acne scarring that i refused to leave the house without either wearing makeup or a mask (it started getting real bad around 2020) so last year when i started getting into skincare, i was using products with harsh chemicals that were too stripping which ended up damaging my skin barrier pretty badly and in turn, made me have one of the worst breakouts ive ever had. My skin was so irritated and red that i remember just doing my skincare with the lights off in my bedroom so i didnt have to see my face in the mirror. Thankfully im past that now, and while my skin still isnt perfect, im learning to love it and all of its breakouts. After a lot of trial and error, ive found some products that have helped calm it down at least a little bit, im still trying to find things that help with the scarring but whenever i look at my acne scars, it reminds me of something emma chamberlain said on her podcast, i cant remember exactly what she said but it was something along the lines of "acne scars are just reminders that you beat that specific breakout" which makes me feel better about them.
I just had a very bad day with my 4 classes and just mentally exhausted college is exhausting but your videos motivate me to keep going no matter how tired I am
Hi Julia! Thank you for being so real and honest with your mental health experiences! Being vulnerable can be the scariest thing in the world, but it is such a sign of strength, courage, and compassion! I am so proud of you! If you are looking for at least that one person who has felt seen and heard because of what you've shared, ya girl is right here! 🥰 Keep on keepin' on!
Love your honesty Julia❤So important to break the stigma and talk about mental health! Seeing the real you and not only the picture perfect stuff helps more than you can imagine, thank you
Hey Jules, I just wanted to say great job on finishing school, balancing life and TH-cam, and just everything. I love how real you are with your audience and I adore you and look up to you. I love getting notified when you post because it just puts a huge smile on my face. Also you are so gorgeous and your smile and laugh is contagious. Keep it up, and we love you!!!
Please be kind to yourself and remember the more you try and push anxiety away and not want it unfortunately it comes in stronger try your best to coexist with it even though when my brain is so bad it seems so impossible to do that but taking one step at a time and resting! your so brave and I love your content ❤❤
One of the best face Washes and face moisturizer I’ve used for acne , was the green tea and spinach face wash by youth to the people , Face cream, was good molecules ❤️
I have a textured forehead as well, stopping skincare for a little bit after using it for a while helped clear it in less than a month. I've had a clear forehead for months now.
I struggled with acne in 5th grade, and I was VERY insecure about it, but in middle school, it wore off by the end of 6th grade, and now I only have a little bit on my nose and my forehead, and I'm SUPER happy in mostly cleared up!!
9:30 hey juliaaa, i can relate so much to just feeling like crying out of nowhere and not being able to sort out my head. perhaps, you can take a look at your birth control and the side effects (i hope i remember right, that you use those). birth control, especially the hormonal kind, can make you feel all type of ways so it’s worth taking a look at! other than that, i recommend for you to buy some asian mascaras while you’re there!! they can hold the curl of small and straight asian lashes soooo much better!!
this video is soo me rn core I am in love with your work girl keep it up. I just finished my junior too so seeing I am not the only one who is like this refreshed me a lot, thank you. we are gonna figure out our ways, always. Have a wonderful and save trip 💞💖
i love your productive vlogs, but i love your vulnerable vlogs just as much because you’re HUMAN, we’re here for your julia!!! 🩷 my skin had the same type of reaction, i've always had very clear skin with minimal breakouts due to my parents having great skin genetics, and out of nowhere my skin began breaking out BEGINNING with my forehead and itsj ust been a journey since, it does get better i promise
0:21, Travel tips for visiting Japan, bring a lot of cash because almost all restaurants don't accept credit card and it'a quite annoying and learn a few phrase word of Japanese that is easy to remember, then they will understand what you mean.
Making my day Julia!! I have a summer job and have to wake up by 4 (almost) everyday. And almost for the whole summer. These videos makes me so so happy! :)
Hey julia, i am so sorry that you are feeling a little down, but just know that YOU are not alone!! Have fun in asia, love your vlogs and love this kind of non-productive vlogs as well. love you and stay safe!! i have been to hongkong disneyland and it is really really just next level and the forbidden city in beijing is also very much worth it! xx
you should watch like Seoul and Tokyo videos of dan and beth travels they like to really immense themselves in the local stuff and they show you around too you'll get an idea what to do with their vlogs
I can really relate to the inexplicable feelings of anxiety, and although I know it sucks to be going through that, it's comforting to see someone else dealing with sort of the same thing, so thank you for opening up, Julia! It's going to be okay; I know you probably know that already but in case you needed to hear it :) Sometimes things just feel off even when they "shouldn't" be. I try to just keep in mind that it's temporary, and life isn't always that way! I just finished my sophomore year of high school and let me tell you it was stressful. You really inspire me to be a better version of myself and to keep moving when you're productive and when you're not in the best spot. I hope everything works out for you! P.S you're making Brown seem like HEAVEN lol P.P.S have so much fun in Asia, I want to travel so baddddd, definitely keep us updated on how the trip goes!
OMG for Hongkong u HAVE TO go eat dim sum, especially the egg tarts!!! They are soooo good! Also, I rly recommend going to Victoria Peak and riding the Peak Tram!! The view is super good and the surrounding nature is so relaxing
On the note of moisturiser, I’m pretty sure that La Roche Posay is expensive so next time if you were looking for a cheaper alternative maybe try Nivea Soft (not a dupe (as far as I am aware) just a recommendation) :)
A few colleges here have been having issues with hidden mold, in vents and behind walls. These cause a lot of respiratory illness and other infections.
so excited for your Asia trip omg!!! never been to japan and corea, but sure thing i can tell u about hongkong. hong kong might be veeery humid lately not sure how's the mosquito-insect situation there, but be sure to take mosquito repellent w you. in hong kong people speak both cantonese and english, so there wont be lots of linguistic issues. if your translator doesnt have the option for "cantonese", you can also use the option of "traditional chinese" works the same recommendations: New Praya, Kennedy Town (堅尼地城 in cantonese) is an amazing spot to take sunset/sunrise pics imo Mong Kok (旺角 in cantonese) is this zone where they have from small shops to mall, and lots of food Temple Street Night Market (廟街)lots of street food food recommendation: hong kong is very famous for their desserts, i HIGHLY recommend trying Dim Sum (its normally a "breakfast", but who cares, we can break the rules), pineapple bun, Char siu pork on rice (叉燒 in cantonese. is a Cantonese-style barbecued pork with rice), (hongkonese) milk tea (actually not sure of how is it different from the rest of the milk tea in china), Zhu Cheung Fun ( 腸粉 in cantonese. "refers to sheets of rice noodles presented as rolls stuffed with various fillings. Smooth, slippery, soft" got it from google), Cart Noodles (車仔麵 in cantonese. is basically a noodle dish), Claypot Rice (煲仔飯 in cantonese "a dish where the rice is cooked in a clay pot with preserved Chinese sausage or other preferred toppings," got this from google as well lol) hope you have fun in hong kong and stay safe!! 🥰💞
I studied for 6 months in Seoul and one of my favorite things to do was just sitting at hangnam river with soju and chicken😊 Also ofcourse you should visit gangnam, iteawon and Hongdea! Also wanted to say i love your videos 😊 greetings from the Netherlands

Also, Julia - "I've been sick all year, I basically can't do gymnastics right now, and my skin had completely changed the last 2 months." Sweetheart, so much change rocks you out of your headspace. Reach out for help in terms of your headspace, too.
I haven’t had breakouts in 6 years but recently about a month ago it started from my forhead and now I have acne all over my face and also my body, idk what is happening and how it happened maybe because of the weather? Idk really it’s interesting to see this also happened to you
No bc my skin was clear till I started doing skincare. I tried to stop but my skin wouldn’t let me go back so now I have acne scars I’m trying to get rid of. Prayers 🙏😭
