    Some anti-sieze or similar around the hub and spacer slip fit to make them easier to remove later might be a plus.

    Just two things. A little bit of wire wheel action would have cleaned up the mating surfaces, ensuring a nice clean fit between spacer and hub. And as another commenter said... Some anti-sieze would help later. Other than that, it does look sooo much better! 😀

    Wheel sizing, spacing, and offset feels like more of an art than just a ordinary mod. I completely agree with you. Subtle changes like that make a big impact to me. Looking good. And maybe it's time to try out some Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish on those wheels. Has a slight about of grit to it, and can help clean off some off that "baked in" dirt and grime.

    • @thatgreatdeal
      @thatgreatdeal ปีที่แล้ว

      Mag and aluminum polish on a stock finish bmw rim? I used that on my billet alloys wheels. For stubborn stuff on these... I would try a little bit of clay bar.

      @@Chris-hw4mq wheel spacers have never been considered to be "ricer" mods. Especially not with stock wheels. Ricer mods are things like loud, large exhaust tipped mufflers, loud blow off valves, exterior aero mods, and large spoilers.

    I just put a set of 12mm Renn Motorsport from Amazon on my F10 Xdrive BMW with my upgraded 19” oem bMW wheels and love them, just the perfect amount. It appears I have maybe a little less room in back for spacers …. I think I am ordering 12mm there too but would like to go more if possible… I have the car lowered on NeoMax coil overs so it’s really tight. I did spacers on my S5 last year too and they make such a difference…. Although I did get a vibration I had to clean the mounting surface of the rotor and wheel really good before putting on. Your car looks great with them. Like it should look imo

    Yep, 15 and 12.5 are what I ran on my e90 with the stock wheels. Such a small thing makes a big difference. Most cars need em to look right. Unless you are running like 3" spacers the leverage on the Bearing is not going to make a difference. Next time you have your lugs off add some anti sleeze, it will make life better when you remove the wheels a year later and you arnt giving yourself a hernia trying to break em loose

    1 thing that was not really adressed but is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:
    You have to make SURE that ALL thread in the hub flange is used by the bolt or if the car has studs with nuts: ALL the thread of the nuts need to be used.
    Do NOT run a car with studs that are TOO SHORT and nuts only half way on.
    Do NOT run a car with bolts that are TOO SHORT.
    If you do, threads will shear off (cue "3wheels on my wagon" song)

    However, I'd say the manufacturer had protecting the paint on the fender behind the wheels in mind. You are going to kick up more debri onto the sides outside the fender wells.
    Perhaps you can put some clear ppf on the lower fender just there.

    A lovely looking car, both before and after. Forget looks. The question is whether the spacers made any improvement in the handling department. So far I have yet to see evidence of superiority in BMW cars. On the local on and off ramps I have almost clobbered some because the fancy new BMW had less grip than my ancient, live axle Volvo.
