Detlef Schrempf sounds like a name an absurdist sitcom writer came up with moments before their deadline, but it's a real guy. The guy from the sewage department is the same actor as Britta's brain-damaged ex, Blade. I immediately recognized him from that, rather than his previous appearance on this show, which I don't even remember, but if he's been on P&R before then it's possible I commented this last time too.
I'm excited for yall to get to the episodes when Rob Lowe & Adam Scott join the show. It perfectly rounds out the cast. It's such a great series; I envy that you are experiencing it for the 1st time. Trust me, you'll end up rewatching it multiple times.
April probably has the name Zuzu at home because her baby sister called her that while learning to talk. That’s usually how people get funny in-family nicknames.
No, it’s because the writers came up with it. It’s a tv show. I mean, I know you know this and yet, you came up with a made up background as if they were real people and it’s like, why?
@ Well didn't want to be acused of 'spoilers' by being too obvious and saying... In the very next episode two... But yeah they really make the show now we've established the main cast.
Glad to see you both seem to be liking this show more & more-see, we wouldn't steer you wrong, this show truly does just get better and better as it goes on (and "sticks the landing" at the end). As others have noted-we can't wait for you two to reach the final 2 eps. of this season & then get to s3...an early s3 ep. I just adore is "Flu". You will dig it ! And yes, it was delightful to see the return of Barney the accounting guy-this is not the last we'll be seeing of him (though he remains only a very tertiary character, it's enough to just add that little dash of spice). Perd Hapley was doing the worm to "Axel F," the theme song from Beverly Hills Cop-which was big in the 80s (both the film & the song). Perd returns in later episodes...his delivery of information (how he speaks) cracks me up.
You've made it through the prologue of the show, the next couple episodes it really starts.
One of the reasons I love this show so much is all of the recurring characters.
Love rewatching these with you guys! 😂
There are lots of surprises to come with Jerry.
Can't wait for them to meet the family :)

Wow. Good catch.
Kirk Fox, decent standup comic.
And @24:57 Leslie is talking about the IT Lady from Community actress Paget Brewster in Friends.
Perd Hapley (Jay Jackson) was actually a news reporter for 25 years in LA
I never knew that!
It shows 😂

My grandma was called Mamo cuz that's how my mom said mama when she was learning to talk
That's how my sister, Victoria, became Tia. Our oldest sister was not quite two when Tia was born and damn near renamed the baby.
Why didn't I think of that? My brother used to call me Ahya because he couldn't say Ava yet.

@@thatgirlwearingglasses You seem like a delight.
" I guess you have to marry him and find out!"...cracks me up!
🤣
You getting very close to a big turning point in Parks. A few new characters who really make the show take off.
Not a few. Just two. Two awesome ones!
@@thatgirlwearingglasses quite LITERALLY!
They are literally, the best.

Such a funny show!☺️💚

That's a great one! "The Fight" is a personal fave.
The show definitely doesn’t “get better and better til the end” or “stick the landing”. The last two seasons are horrible.
@tempsitch5632 Well, that's just, like.....your opinion, man.
Ooh, can't wait for the next few episodes. It's getting good.
Next two episodes start, imo, the best couple seasons of the show
The Mall of America is 520’000m2
I wonder how much all those international calls cost. :D
😳for that long as well 😂
