- Quite often in winter we find that the simplest methods are the most effective and in this video I fish a short session at the brilliant Lindholme Lakes complex with one rod and just a handful of bait!

Why the Ethos Jamie ? l've noticed Jamie Hughes chooses the XRC over the Horizon too. It looks a great soft rod .
I've used the XRC a lot mate, because quite often some of these videos are a great chance to try new rods out and the XRC has been ideal at Lindholme this winter mate 👌

Wild fowl diving on your pellets.
Give them a green lazer beam.
They hate it, and will clear off, sometimes even off the lake its self.
I really enjoyed this video, pointing out the bite before it happens is spot on!
Jamie, a strange question if I may. If you only had the choice of using a sweet or savory flavoured pellets on this occasion, which would you choose.

Hi ! Great video . I just buy a Preston Ignition Carp Feeder 3,30m (11ft) /50g and Okuma AK Baitfeeder 4000 . This combo is ok for bomb and pellet fishing ? I make initial this combo thinking on pellet feeder way … but i wanna start bomb and pellet 👍
Jamie i always hear anglers say to target deeper water when it comes to winter fishing but I see your going more for the margins. Would you start deep and go towards margins gradually or straight towards margin? Thank you and merry Christmas 🎉

The washed out look pellet or bollies was a big thing in the Carp world

I wanted to but they weren't in stock at the time of filming unfortunately but that's what I'll be using when available mate 👍

It's quite a good peg no3 and i like the pegs off the last island, the high 20's if i remember right. I never do any good in the main bowl seems to be to shallow, especially way past that willow tree and reeds you were pinging to where it backs on to loco. Mind you i've not fished it for a few years so i don't know if it's been dredged and worked on.
Oh right I'll bare that in mind in future on that lake mate :)
