As a Rangers fan I am appalled by our support. Watch the full video and he is totally impartial and enjoys both tours. Knuckledraggers have got to wisen up. I have been on both tours myself, I went on the Celtic one with my Granda before he passed away a few years ago (I did it because I love my family btw before you all start) and they were very nice, even when they knew my dad and I were Rangers fans. They even let my Granda, and us suprisingly, hold the European Scottish and SPL trophies due to my Grandas fond memories of the teams he grew up watching. The Rangers tour was a gift from my girlfriend, now wife, and it was just as good. Both treated us well and it shows that the clubs themselves can act with dignity, so why can't the fans?

@@m.k.s.7417 well im a rangers fan and ive a few friends who are roman catholics as well as in my work most are roman catholic, out of a workfaorce of about 40 there are only about half a dozen protestants (myself included) and ive no problem with any of them, same as theyve no issues with me, infact i normally drop one off after our shift has finished at his house! same could be said for celtic fans though they are not wholly innocent either. in fact both sets of fans have their idiots.
I'm a Spurs fan and go to games regularly and we often have Arsenal fans in and around the stadium. Sometimes you'll have guys who are Spurs, bringing their girlfriend's who are Arsenal and no one gets any grief. One of the stewards near where I sit, is an Arsenal fan who works at both our stadium and the emirates from time to time. Rivalries are great and I love the passion of the derby games, but it is just a game of football at the end of the day. It isn't life and death.

Me and dad was in queue to get to train and surrounded by spurs fans they don't realised until me and my dad on the train I got Arsenal flag and most Tottenham mugs going to piss me and my dad off but is mostly Arsenal football club not us but they want to take a piss. At the end it's Football and it finally calmed down next day. XD :/

As a Rangers fan and one who has done the Rangers tour on a few occasions i must admit your video certainly made the Celtic tour look alot better and infact i actually quite fancy taking that tour and the Hampden tour now. Great video anyways.

I personally found the video excellent, like you said, you said absolutely nothing to antagonise either fanbase and neither did the officials at either club. All you did was prefer one tour over the other. I just say keep doing what you’re doing, you have a fantastic channel and the other stadium tours are fantastic, keep up the good work 👍 Oh if you want a recommendation in the future, try Newcastle, they have an extra tour where you can walk on the stadium roof, sounds weird but you get some awesome views of the city

I come from a loyal rangers family. But I have been a celtic fan from the age of four or five. My mum told me that I was watching a game on a black and white TV set back in the 60s and liked the gray (green)and white hooped shirts. That's how I became a celtic fan. I don't see a lot of the family, but when I do, it only takes a minute or two for some uncle to scream out " WHY, SON, WHY".

Having lived in Glasgow for nearly two decades now (I come from the far east with a skin colour people here often stereotype), I can appreciate why the rivalry is beyond just football. One thing to note about the car horning stuff is parkhead has an unfair advantage due to the public money spent for the commonwealth games 2014. If the stadium is just next to the traffic, bet you'd have the same experience if wandering long enough there :(

When this story first popped up on my Google feed, reading it briefly it looked like a tourist or holidaymaker went to ibrox mistakenly or tongue in cheek,with the hoops on,so I had a little giggle to myself, then later on it reported the same happened at celtic park with a rangers shirt on ,again found it funny . now seeing both videos on it, loved em and thought what a great job he done,well presented and very professional and no badness to either team, and I thought what a cool chilled out man,even after all the crap he received from both sets of fans . reading most of the comments it looks like there's more decent fans than not,and not all are filled with hate and can have a laugh . I'm a celtic fan but have many Rangers pals,and whenever we go on holiday or up to games ,we get each other badges or scarves of our team,I went in the rangers shop in the airport and the lad behind the counter looking at my celtic bags looked shocked I was buying stuff, when I explained he gave me some freebies for my pals!! It's sometimes nice to be nice😊😊😊

Genuine question. After going on the tours and experiencing the supporters of both clubs first hand, whereabouts do you think this rivalry ranks in terms of UK and World football? How does the intensity compare to any other rivalry that you have experienced so far?
In terms of rivalry - it's up there with some of the fiercest ... but it's mainly between the fans. I've been to actual teams where they are really pissy when you mention their rivals. Leeds Utd were the worst - they don't have anything red because it's the colour of United.
Celtic are better than rangers in every aspect, it was very predictable the rangers fans would pish the bed when they realised Celtic even outdo them when it comes to stadium tours. Pathetic rangers fans perm-rage never ends, sad little people.

I am a Celtic Supporter from Minnesota and I would love one day to watch a match at Celtic Park, preferably an Old Firm match. If I saw someone wearing a Rangers kit I wouldn’t go out of my way to harass them. The rivalry isn’t that big with me but I do enjoy a good rivalry as it makes things more fun. I think it’s terrible that fans of both clubs can’t be more civil than they are. I enjoyed your tour videos of both stadiums but I don’t think I could be as brave as you were.
I dunno about bravery, but it was an interesting experiment to see the sort of hatred that still exists in this rivalry. I also like American sports, and home fans mixing with road fans is commonplace in your country - so it always perplexes me as to why football is still like this in the 21st century. Nailed it on the head 😂 Some Rangers fans are typically more abusive and angry over things like this. As are some Celtic fans when things go against us. They are all a minority and generally both sets of fans are decent human beings following their team, but the fact that this has warranted a response from you shows what a mess the situation has and always will be in Scotland until people become a bit more human to one another, no sponsor or TV channel etc etc is going to want to get involved in this shit. And we as Scottish football fans wonder why we're not taken more seriously as a brand?

If you don't support either club now. Go back on a matchday. I'd recommend one where it's in a European competition. You'll find no better night than withing Celtic park or Ibrox on a night like that.

The same thing happened to me. When I was wearing a Celtic jersey a few steps away from the tills there was a Rangers fan and he gave me a grumpy look. I was freaking out. I'm a Celtic fan and Celtic fans aren't all Irish Republican or causing trouble. I'm a nice Celtic fan. My dads friend Joe is a Celtic fan himself and he's nice too.
Its true I'll give you an example off this my wife use to work at Frankie and Benny's in Hamilton they would not take a free balloon she handed to the guys daughter because it was green irony of that is Frankie and Benny's is an Italian restaurant or was so colours are red white and green. Only recently a guy on Falkirk again a rangers supporter would not buy a Christmas design scarf which is normally red or green because of the colour. It happens on both sides however more consistently happens on the blue side. I was originally a Rangers supporter as a kid I mean Laudrup, Boli, Goram what's not to like about that team...well fans I was questioned about my name and verbally abused at a game so I stopped going to games. I went to a testimonial at Celtic Park supporting my hero Klinsmann playing for Bayern at the time I couldn't get a ticket for bayern end so got Celtic end and they treated me well not because of my name they didn't care they just wanted to enjoy match even though at time I was supporting other side, from then I become a Celtic fan please note from then I've also been stabbed twice for wearing a Celtic shirt irony was I was walking with my rangers mates. Not all Rangers fans are bad majority of my mates are rangers supporters and some family and they are awesome people.
Loved your video m8! As you can see these sort of things provoke a huge reaction from both sides of the old firm. When I say “these sort of things” I pretty much mean ANYTHING that involves the words Rangers or Celtic. There is a deep bitterness that goes way beyond football in a way that no other rivalry has! Most of this is down to the way people have been brought up and the hate they can be nurtured into believing which again is less about the football and more about tribalism. Luckily I grew up with a dad who doesn’t care for football and a mum who is a part time Kilmarnock fan so I wasn’t exposed to the hateful side of either set of fans. It turned out that I became a big Rangers fan who cares about the football team rather than caring about the hatred for another group of people. The point is that both sets of fans are cut from the same cloth and while they both endlessly proclaim that the other set is worse, both sets are as bad as each other. I’m sad that the comments section is probably the biggest talking point of the whole video but I suppose it has highlighted how a seemingly funny and interesting social experiment can lead to you getting abuse online 🙄😔! On another note I’m glad u enjoyed both of the tours and hopefully u had a great time in Glasgow.
Thanks Steven, I appreciate your honest response. I totally agree with your points for sure. Both sets of fans can be as bad as each other and both are cut from the same cloth. Obviously it's not my position (or right) to tell anyone how to live their lives, but I find that people have lost sight about what it's actually about (football) in favour of needless hatred. The most interesting thing I took from this experiment was that people exerted some form of 'confirmation bias' or 'curved thinking'. I was completely neutral throughout and I even mentioned several times that I recommend people see the Rangers tour. But that didn't stop a lot to blue fans coming up with conspiracy theories as to why I'm biased towards the green side, even though there is no evidence to suggest so. And logically, why would I? I just repeated the same experiment with Newcastle & Sunderland, where I gave my opinion of which I thought was better (no shirts needed) and the results were exactly the same. I've been accused of bias by Newcastle fans virtually in the same way. I'll be back in Glasgow soon enough! Thanks again.

Not seen this 2 min snip or Twitter stuff, so my comment at the time that you have made half the city happy was just an honest opinion from how it came over to me, and the seeing the Celtic top under the Rangers 😂. That said to get any bad or nasty responses is just not on... as I said, watched games at both Rangers and Celtic in the 90s, both great atmospheres that most English clubs can only dream of, my preference was Ibrox, but hey thats just me (well I have to admit Rangers are and have always been the Scottish team I watch out for, follow), being a Villa season ticket holder, wish we got that atmosphere every week thats generated by the old firm. In 97 I did a tour of Ibrox before seeing a match between Celtic and Roma later that evening at Celtic Park. I personally really enjoy seeing sporting venues and stadiums wherever I go on my travels. I was told to cover up my Celtic strip(Going to the match after the tour) while doing my tour of ibrox. Of course I did being a young Canadian tourist, and not want to get my ass kicked. There was some name calling and stuff, but no problems came from it.

6:35 You miss the point here. In Glasgow, no-one gets to 'pick' a club (unless they are deliberately being very weird and support Partick Thistle or Queens Park). You are born into one side or the other, and there is no escape from that. You don't get to choose which club you support, the club chooses you.

The football divide in Glasgow is just one, comparatively minor, manifestation of far older, very serious and deep rooted societal issues in the city. As a Rangers fan I am appalled by our support. Watch the full video and he is totally impartial and enjoys both tours. Knuckledraggers have got to wisen up. I have been on both tours myself, I went on the Celtic one with my Granda before he passed away a few years ago (I did it because I love my family btw before you all start) and they were very nice, even when they knew my dad and I were Rangers fans. They even let my Granda, and us suprisingly, hold the European Scottish and SPL trophies due to my Grandas fond memories of the teams he grew up watching. The Rangers tour was a gift from my girlfriend, now wife, and it was just as good. Both treated us well and it shows that the clubs themselves can act with dignity, so why can't the fans?

I'm a Spurs fan and go to games regularly and we often have Arsenal fans in and around the stadium. Sometimes you'll have guys who are Spurs, bringing their girlfriend's who are Arsenal and no one gets any grief. One of the stewards near where I sit, is an Arsenal fan who works at both our stadium and the emirates from time to time. Rivalries are great and I love the passion of the derby games, but it is just a game of football at the end of the day. It isn't life and death.

I come from a loyal rangers family. But I have been a celtic fan from the age of four or five. My mum told me that I was watching a game on a black and white TV set back in the 60s and liked the gray (green)and white hooped shirts. That's how I became a celtic fan. I don't see a lot of the family, but when I do, it only takes a minute or two for some uncle to scream out " WHY, SON, WHY".

Just came across both videos. Having lived in Glasgow for nearly two decades now (I come from the far east with a skin colour people here often stereotype), I can appreciate why the rivalry is beyond just football.
One thing to note about the car horning stuff is parkhead has an unfair advantage due to the public money spent for the commonwealth games 2014. If the stadium is just next to the traffic, bet you'd have the same experience if wandering long enough there :(

When this story first popped up on my Google feed, reading it briefly it looked like a tourist or holidaymaker went to ibrox mistakenly or tongue in cheek,with the hoops on,so I had a little giggle to myself, then later on it reported the same happened at celtic park with a rangers shirt on ,again found it funny . now seeing both videos on it, loved em and thought what a great job he done,well presented and very professional and no badness to either team, and I thought what a cool chilled out man,even after all the crap he received from both sets of fans . reading most of the comments it looks like there's more decent fans than not,and not all are filled with hate and can have a laugh . I'm a celtic fan but have many Rangers pals,and whenever we go on holiday or up to games ,we get each other badges or scarves of our team,I went in the rangers shop in the airport and the lad behind the counter looking at my celtic bags looked shocked I was buying stuff, when I explained he gave me some freebies for my pals!! It's sometimes nice to be nice😊😊😊

Genuine question. After going on the tours and experiencing the supporters of both clubs first hand, whereabouts do you think this rivalry ranks in terms of UK and World football? How does the intensity compare to any other rivalry that you have experienced so far?
In terms of rivalry - it's up there with some of the fiercest ... but it's mainly between the fans.
I've been to actual teams where they are really pissy when you mention their rivals. Leeds Utd were the worst - they don't have anything red because it's the colour of United.
Celtic are better than rangers in every aspect, it was very predictable the rangers fans would pish the bed when they realised Celtic even outdo them when it comes to stadium tours. Pathetic rangers fans perm-rage never ends, sad little people.

I am a Celtic Supporter from Minnesota and I would love one day to watch a match at Celtic Park, preferably an Old Firm match. If I saw someone wearing a Rangers kit I wouldn’t go out of my way to harass them. The rivalry isn’t that big with me but I do enjoy a good rivalry as it makes things more fun. I think it’s terrible that fans of both clubs can’t be more civil than they are. I enjoyed your tour videos of both stadiums but I don’t think I could be as brave as you were.
I dunno about bravery, but it was an interesting experiment to see the sort of hatred that still exists in this rivalry.
I also like American sports, and home fans mixing with road fans is commonplace in your country - so it always perplexes me as to why football is still like this in the 21st century.

Nailed it on the head 😂 Some Rangers fans are typically more abusive and angry over things like this. As are some Celtic fans when things go against us. They are all a minority and generally both sets of fans are decent human beings following their team, but the fact that this has warranted a response from you shows what a mess the situation has and always will be in Scotland until people become a bit more human to one another, no sponsor or TV channel etc etc is going to want to get involved in this shit. However, that means that Celtic can sometimes have a few bad characters, too. Neither side is perfect or free from silly behavior, but the "overwhelming response" from one side of Glasgow should tell you something about that club's mindset and that of its supporters. Keep making videos, supporting your club, and calling it like you see it. Nice to see an outside perspective on the topic.

The same thing happened to me. When I was wearing a Celtic jersey a few steps away from the tills there was a Rangers fan and he gave me a grumpy look. I was freaking out. I'm a Celtic fan and Celtic fans aren't all Irish Republican or causing trouble. I'm a nice Celtic fan. My dads friend Joe is a Celtic fan himself and he's nice too.
Mate, there isn't a Rangers fan in Scotland who could do the Parkhead tour in a Gers shirt and not be rude. Just doesn't compute.

Its true I'll give you an example off this my wife use to work at Frankie and Benny's in Hamilton they would not take a free balloon she handed to the guys daughter because it was green irony of that is Frankie and Benny's is an Italian restaurant or was so colours are red white and green. Only recently a guy on Falkirk again a rangers supporter would not buy a Christmas design scarf which is normally red or green because of the colour. It happens on both sides however more consistently happens on the blue side.
I was originally a Rangers supporter as a kid I mean Laudrup, Boli, Goram what's not to like about that team...well fans I was questioned about my name and verbally abused at a game so I stopped going to games. I went to a testimonial at Celtic Park supporting my hero Klinsmann playing for Bayern at the time I couldn't get a ticket for bayern end so got Celtic end and they treated me well not because of my name they didn't care they just wanted to enjoy match even though at time I was supporting other side, from then I become a Celtic fan please note from then I've also been stabbed twice for wearing a Celtic shirt irony was I was walking with my rangers mates. Not all Rangers fans are bad majority of my mates are rangers supporters and some family and they are awesome people.

Loved your video m8! As you can see these sort of things provoke a huge reaction from both sides of the old firm. When I say “these sort of things” I pretty much mean ANYTHING that involves the words Rangers or Celtic.
There is a deep bitterness that goes way beyond football in a way that no other rivalry has! Most of this is down to the way people have been brought up and the hate they can be nurtured into believing which again is less about the football and more about tribalism.
Luckily I grew up with a dad who doesn’t care for football and a mum who is a part time Kilmarnock fan so I wasn’t exposed to the hateful side of either set of fans. It turned out that I became a big Rangers fan who cares about the football team rather than caring about the hatred for another group of people. The point is that both sets of fans are cut from the same cloth and while they both endlessly proclaim that the other set is worse, both sets are as bad as each other. I’m sad that the comments section is probably the biggest talking point of the whole video but I suppose it has highlighted how a seemingly funny and interesting social experiment can lead to you getting abuse online 🙄😔! On another note I’m glad u enjoyed both of the tours and hopefully u had a great time in Glasgow.

I totally agree with your points for sure. Both sets of fans can be as bad as each other and both are cut from the same cloth. Obviously it's not my position (or right) to tell anyone how to live their lives, but I find that people have lost sight about what it's actually about (football) in favour of needless hatred.
The most interesting thing I took from this experiment was that people exerted some form of 'confirmation bias' or 'curved thinking'. I was completely neutral throughout and I even mentioned several times that I recommend people see the Rangers tour. But that didn't stop a lot to blue fans coming up with conspiracy theories as to why I'm biased towards the green side, even though there is no evidence to suggest so. And logically, why would I?
I just repeated the same experiment with Newcastle & Sunderland, where I gave my opinion of which I thought was better (no shirts needed) and the results were exactly the same. I've been accused of bias by Newcastle fans virtually in the same way.

Not seen this 2 min snip or Twitter stuff, so my comment at the time that you have made half the city happy was just an honest opinion from how it came over to me, and the seeing the Celtic top under the Rangers 😂. That said to get any bad or nasty responses is just not on... as I said, watched games at both Rangers and Celtic in the 90s, both great atmospheres that most English clubs can only dream of, my preference was Ibrox, but hey thats just me (well I have to admit Rangers are and have always been the Scottish team I watch out for, follow), being a Villa season ticket holder, wish we got that atmosphere every week thats generated by the old firm. In 97 I did a tour of Ibrox before seeing a match between Celtic and Roma later that evening at Celtic Park. I personally really enjoy seeing sporting venues and stadiums wherever I go on my travels. I was told to cover up my Celtic strip(Going to the match after the tour) while doing my tour of ibrox. Of course I did being a young Canadian tourist, and not want to get my ass kicked. There was some name calling and stuff, but no problems came from it.
Yeah, over here they take it way too seriously. It's not like Canada where you can go to Toronto in a Habs jersey and be fine. Boy I miss Canada.

6:35 You miss the point here. In Glasgow, no-one gets to 'pick' a club (unless they are deliberately being very weird and support Partick Thistle or Queens Park). You are born into one side or the other, and there is no escape from that. You don't get to choose which club you support, the club chooses you.

The football divide in Glasgow is just one, comparatively minor, manifestation of far older, very serious and deep rooted societal issues in the city.
