I mean looking back at it, Daniel was obssessed with with the prospect of someone dying during the Sekai Taikai without him knowing Miyagi even entered this competition, which messed with his head the entire season. Then you have this braw conveniently happening to set up the very death Daniel feared would just occur because..? I think the writers have other plans.

He felt embarrassed and to hide that emotion he redirected toward Miguel and turned it into anger. It's way more believable than a world wide karate tournament turning into a street fight on live TV lol.

He was such a good character, he quickly rose to prominence due to his potential that still had so much to be shown, he became one of my favorite characters and it's sad that he only lasted 8 episodes. He just wanted to win at all costs and was going to play dirty, and that was a fatal mistake that cost him his life, he was truly a cobra kai… Brandon is a great actor and I loved him, I'm already a fan of his and I hope he does more series and films!

Brandon did a great job for the portrayal of that character. I feel like most fans were anticipating someone to die throughout the series especially after Miguel got kicked off the ledge and the way they shot that made it look like Daniel was about to get stabbed by like sacrificing himself or trying to stop Kwon. When he turns over his dead body, and he just see his lifeless face like you just see the innocent of this child who was taken over by hatred and pride. That was a very intense moment and I think cobra Kai knocked it out of the park with part two
“There is so such thing as bad student, only bad teacher” If there’s anyone to blame for Kwon’s death it’s Kreese. He made him angry and vengeful. If he was under the guidance of someone like Daniel, he would still be alive.
Kim is also to blame as much as Kreese. Based on Kwon's introductory episode, she neglected him their entire time together, ignored him as much as possible, treated him like a problem child with no hope for reform, instead of trying to help him. Both she and Kreese are at fault imo.

Kwon would probably not even be in Barcelona, and if he did make the team then he would have been Hawk level. Kreese made him who he is, or in his exact words “one of the most terrifying fighters in the sekai taikai”

He'd live for now but could still become a problem later in his life ("or kill their heart with strong kick to ribs!"). Kwon needed both Daniel and Johnny's teachings to turn him like Hawk as a person.

Yet, she managed to preserve the human and the woman inside her. As for her attitude towards Kwon, I believe she should have given him more time and a few chances. But at the same time, Kwon was such a wildcard, she considered him unreliable and I cannot blame her. I prefer a leader who has spirit, heart and intelligence over a cocky narrow minded fellow who can achieve goals only through brute force.
In my opinion, what makes this especially sad is that we won't get any kind of redemption arc for Kwon like with the other rivals. But I will say that Brandon absolutely killed it with his role. Brilliant job!

kwon reminds me of young chozen, maybe that's why he became my favorite charatcer instantly when i first saw him. i also feel like him speaking korean while fighting, especially in the forrest fight, gives off those tekken game vibes just irl. i really hope he's alive, even though bro looked pretty dead...💀 he carried every scene he was in though, *amazing* actor!
