Hey Paul, thanks for the shout-out. I think I put that up for auction in 2017 or 18. While it was tough for me to let that one (and a sister model by the same builder - a 58 Buick) go, I'm super stoked that it went to a good home. It looks great! Besides Scale Survivors, I also write the Vintage Workbench column for Model Cars magazine, starting with issue 211. Good to see you, my friend!
Wow, Dave I never dreamed you'd be here. You're welcome anytime. I might break down and join in on the FaceBook crowd soon. If so, Scale Survivors will be the first place I go. You know I would not have thought it's been that long ago since we last talked. Time fly's for sure. This old Imperial has been a great piece in my collection. Thank you for the chance to own it and mostly for dropping by. This has made my day. ( P.S. I'm going to look for issue 211 )
Incredible Talent! I don’t have FB … but if I ever get it. I’ll check him out. That’s incredible! Love one off stuff and or repairs made with other materials… great conversation pieces! Thanks👍
That's a cool old survivor you picked up. The mirrors out there on the fenders is cool, and I'm thinking they're called scallops? on the hood and fenders is cool. Somebody built a Cool model right there back in the day. Thanks for sharing it Paul.👍👍
You're right they do call the stripes on the hood and fenders scallops. I had a brain fart. LOL Those old fender mirrors were the thing. I have set for my "real car" but I don't use them. Thanks for dropping in.
I'd be happy with that survivor. That's one cool survivor, and i don't think i have one in my collection with as much character as that one has Scale survivors. The Facebook page got me into collecting survivor models . Dave is a very knowledgeable guy when it comes to models .
That's a really cool cruiser, brother, perfect look!! I'm familiar with that fb group, not a member, but I get posts from there and always share them on my model page ✌️😊

Nice "barn find".

Hey Paul that’s a cool looking car do you know how many cars you built
Thanks Fred but I didn't build this one. If I had to guess, I'd say over 2-300 I've build over the years and twice that many in the stash!!
