I agree with your observations, Bro. Paul and that of the UK guy. I think that agents collecting the money to send people abroad give them false hopes. We that are abroad are losing our children to the Western culture. Many families are stranded abroad. It's unbelievable that parents bring their little children abroad without 2nd thoughts or plan B. What is wrong with my Igbo brothers and Sisters is rivalry and competition. Let me do as my brother is doing! I want to build an upstairs house as my brother when I know that I do not have the resources to that. I want to go abroad as the other person, we’re as i don’ t have the money so I will go ahead and sell my family land for that. We should learn to be contented with what we have.
What our brother said here is true. Oversea is not like use to be. I have been in USA for a long time and I want to return home for the rest of my time on earth.
All fingers are no equal, even in abroad where our people are japaing to, there are poor people and rich people. Some live in bungalows and some live in upstairs building. So my people let us think before we japa,it is no longer business as usual. Many people in America today came with green card lottery and did not have to spend much to come , some were sponsored by relatives and did not spend much to come.Why would one spend up to fifty million naira to japa when you can use that amount to set up a business in Nigeria.
