She's ukrainian, they don't consider beer or wine an alcoholic beverage. Anything less than 40% is water to them.
I think it has more to do with it being fruit flavoured. I've never seen a rum that is less than 35% and currently have one that is 55% although I seriously doubt that banana rum goes that high.

A quick Google says it will be between 35-60% alcohol by volume.

Fun fact: in the Soviet Union beer below 10% wasn't considered an alcohol. It wasn't until 2011 that they changed the law in Russia. Not sure about Ukraine though 😁

Anny is ukrainian, here're most of kids' juices (not like for toddlers but by the design you can tell it's not targeting adults) are banana flavoured and often it's in mix (like banana + strawberry), so are sweets. I laughed at it too, idk how to compare this combination to people abroad, it's like seeing Pepa the Pig in Doom Eternal.
This one just isn't going to compute in the US or UK, even if it's not to everyone's taste - especially the US, both sugarcane and bananas are native to the hemisphere and this is a Caribbean classic. Also, if one can make moonshine out of a fruit they have access to, Americans have probably done it already.

@@vavra222 From what I've heard Czech people drink beer like Americans drink soda. I know someone who worked in Czechia and he told me about how you could order a beer in the cafeteria in his workplace, it wasn't uncommon for people to have a beer with their lunch and then go back to work. Apparently it's similar in some parts of Germany too. If they did that in the UK then people would be getting wasted on shift and blasting rave music on their lunch breaks 😁
