You know how people who are beginners to selling on ebay can only list up to $500? I wanna see you make a different ebay account and try to make a significant profit by selling things. Kind of like you're starting from scratch. That would be cool. I mean all of these videos are cool, but it would likely give tips to new sellers on ebay.
something else to note. people that buy high end meters are typically electricians who don't buy used crap due to the danger of whether it works properly. it will be hard to sell used meters for big money.
I would love to see a “ red paper clip “ game challenge , start with a low end semi common game and see what big titles you can keep trading it up for!
Huge tip for anyone looking to do this! I worked at the largest cash America in my state of Texas, Cash America and first cash pawn are the two most famous as well as several others owned by the same umbrella company. These big chain pawn shops run discounts based on age. If you look at the sticker they have (the one with the barcode and price on it) there is a date at the top left hand side of the sticker. The older that date is, the more of a discount you should be able to get! They are always looking to clear out older inventory! The only exception is if the pawnbroker that bought the item or wrote the loan on it, over paid for it. If they have a lot in it they may not want to go down too much but it’s rare they have a crazy amount invested in the item. And even still, most locations are willing to take the loss to clear space for more profitable fresh items to be placed on the floor! Hope this helps 👍
Are you listing daily on eBay? Ending and selling similar old items that have bad pricing and bad item details? Buying high demand items? There’s a lot of factors to consider
I used to be a warehouse/office person for an electrical contractor. So I handled all materials, including getting tools for our help, specially stuff like fluke meters, business would purchase up front and we would take the tool out of their paycheck over time. Point I'm making is we have relationships with our suppliers so alot of that stuff we getting brand new stuff for less than what the general public can buy it used. Also reason you see this stuff in pawns is cause the guy quit his job or got fired and has no use for a high end set of meters
I loved this. I would like to see more videos like this. Any buying challenge is great. I really like how honest you are. When it doesn't work, you always tell us. You help people gain knowledge that they can use,to grow or start their own business. Thank you so much!
Chase I really respect the really high level of honesty in this video. I know all your videos are honest but most videos that I have seen made by others won’t do that to this level. What I mean by this you let us know even a seller with an extremely high knowledge level of buying and selling items could make a purchase that can cost them way more money than the amount of profit they are comfortable with. Also for you admitting don’t pay up for something that we don’t have a high amount of experience with if we are unsure of the amount it is going to sell for. I know I have made this mistake a few times over the years but until just now I would normally not share it. Thank you for this great video and I loved it. I hope you can do the pawn shop and retail video game store challenge of who can make the most profit and even a flea market vs garage challenge who can make the most profit videos. Maybe you vs another you tube creators channel to see who can make the most profit hunting for items.
I used to think there were only 4 types of people in the world: people who trade, people who buy, people who sell, and people who don't do any of them. But I think there's a new type of person out there: A person who does it all, but does it like a genius. -cough cough- Chase...
Got Def Jam Fight for NY at my local pawn shop yesterday for $5. It was in the big section of $5 games and I thought it was a mistake. Picked out like 8 more games and was out the door at $40 for everything.
Great concept video. Editing and captions are really nice, tell sky guy good work! Yea as soon as i saw you guys going after those meters i was like NOOOOOOOOO.....
Great video and very interesting challenge! I just might have to do it someday. I'd have to drive 1-2 hours though since there's only one Pawn Shop in my area. :( I appreciate being able to see the mistakes other resellers make. Sometimes it looks like mistakes are never made and they always make big profit, but we all know that's not the reality of reselling. Looking forward to upcoming challenges!
love this concept of a video, but pleeeeease guys, start looking at the lens on the camera instead of the screen...it's been bothering me, and i'm sure others, for years when we see crooked eyes because you're looking at the screen instead of the lens. keep up the good work!
Let me know if there are other challenges you want to see us try!
Update: Excited to share our second buy with "Hobby Shop Ron" soon!

Or they got in drugs and sold everything or it was stolen.
@@adammonahan687 Also a possibility.
great to see the quick flips and the flops that happen along the way

Hey it’s Renix Pesale ! Excited for your whatnot auction tonight!
20% in fees is not good.
Probably not, but it's easier to add up 20% then 13% of ebay fees.
