My dad always hated TV sitcoms. He thought they were all lousy. I used to tell him to watch Seinfeld and he never would. Then one day he was over at my house and he had to watch it because I was. This episode was on and when Jerry said it offends me as a comedian, my dad was laughing so hard. One of the funniest lines ever.

I can’t think of another actor who can play comedy and drama so well. Bryan Cranston is a once in a lifetime actor.
Many comedic actors are great at drama, sometimes vice versa too
Jim Carrey, Robin Williams and Aamir Khan are three names that come to mind
What great comedic role did Cranston have? In Seinfeld he was ok but come on a lot of other side characters played far better comedy aspects. Dramatic roles seem far more up his alley

Bryan Cranston comes off as three completely different people in Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle, and Breaking Bad. The vocal pitch, inflection, range of facial expressions, posture, etc are TOTALLY different. If they were brothers rather than the same person I'd wonder if they were raised in different families.
Jacob Hoss Hal would definitely have been the one raised by wolves vs. Whatley or Walter White.
don't forget he was Tim Sacksky in King of Queens.
It's crazy how different the characters are, I even doubted that it was really him in Breaking Bad after I saw Malcolm in the Middle. And now this.

First he's a dentist, then a father two five kids and a wife, and finally a man who turned 50 that has lung cancer and eventually is a drug dealer partnered with a former high school student and would become a drug lord a year later. Bryan Cranston is such a legend.
5:13 you can see Jerry almost cracking up, bryan cranston said in an interview that they had to spend 1 hour retaking this scene because Jerry couldn’t hold his laughter.

@@WavyFBaby I disagree. I think he is just having a conversation that happens to take place in a confessional. A conversation with a lawyer doesn’t automatically get client-attorney privilege, unless one of the parties is in fact a client. That’s why Saul Goodman asks Walt to give him a dollar. Coincidence? I don’t think so. The rule that binds a priest only applies to the sacrament of confession.
@@makiburgess5733 I could see what you mean. But the attorney-client clause in a legal matter. The priest isn’t bound legally, just in the eyes of the church. And although Jerry isn’t catholic, he is still Christian. So he could still make a confession if he’s baptized and if the priest is aware that he’s a non-catholic, which he is. I mean he’s in the confessional stall after all. But even if he weren’t confessing, I think the church would still err on the side of bounding the father to the same rules. Jerry may or may not have been confessing but the father was acting in the capacity of a priest. PS, I’m loving this civil disagreement lol. Let’s keep it going if you don’t mind.

He kept losing hair as the series went on. First had a beard and medium hair, then no beard and shorter hair, then went down to a crew cut...then shaved everything and became a high school science teacher???
Eggs is eggs one of the times, when his hair was crew cut, was because he had been filming for a movie. If you watch "That Thing You Do," you'll see that he was playing an astronaut.

Ryan Bond I know he was on that show but it would be difficult to make a claim that Malcolm was one of the greatest shows in history.
Same with Seinfeld for people. I figure if a show makes it past 5 seasons they are good. 10 they are great.. Only reason there wasn't more breaking bad seasons, the story was over. None of them made it pass 10.
I look at just his acting during each show. And each character was memorable, funny, and with their own quirks

@@santim270 There is a story online about a man who had been the lover of a female dentist. He broke up with her and then went to her to have some dental repair. She must have had a real grudge, because she sedated him and then removed all his teeth.

Every time I see an interview with Bryan Cranston about his stint on Seinfeld he's always so upbeat and enthusiastic. Makes me like him even more. BTW, his autobiography is wonderful. A must-read.
