Shucks...thought it came out more around 99 as it was part of the Beaucoup Fish line up. I got the album back then and already had several cds. Either way, great group.
Actually, there were a lot of huge songs in that era, in my opinion some of the purest electronica and techno came out in this period. Right between two big eras of commercialism. Most of Warps finest songs were done in this era, and many of Underworlds best too. Drum Club, The Orb, The Grid and other lower tempo artists were also well worth a listen, Progressive was just beginning to start up and boy was it good.
@@burrytellam there was a TV show, might have been youth show that used that riff in its title theme but I cant for the life of me remember what it was, a bit like when I try to remember which show used the Depeche Mode People are People, then I remember it was It'll Never Work on BBC.
best part is definitely at 10:06---electric guitar!!! then the song builds back up. brilliant. i am not sure where seguesound was in 1993, but i was in the clubs...and this song DEFINITELY belongs in 1993. FLUKE and a host of others (you may have heard of the chemical brothers) were defining electronic music at the time.
This gave me a siezure....again....and I watched it again...and it will do the same tomorrow when I watch it yet again....and again....feels so good....
This is off a long video tape that had most (or all?) of the album (Dubnobasswithmyheadman) as the soundtrack of the video so to speak. The voice chunk was an interlude before the actual track starts IIRC.
My favorites are Underworld, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Hardfloor, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk. These bands only release good tracks and amazingly they have all lasted since the 1990s when I first found out about them.
in fact, the guitar starting at 10:06 sounds remarkably like Fluke's electric guitar humbucker at 5:12. also released in 1993. this is what dance music sounded like in 1993.
I loved the E.P. That track was on... every tune on it was mind blowing... heard it senior year 1999 doing acid for one of the first times... this stuff still sounds fresh to my ears
One of their rather unknown gems. A glorius journey. The sound of '93 for me. Monster monster track. Have been lucky enough to hear this live.
It was on MTV at the time.

one of their top 5 songs 100%.
I fucking wish I had heard this live! 😮
To anyone here now, perusing the comments while this plays is a peculiar experience, to say the least. Much love to Underworld, by the by.
Best part starts at 0:00, the worst part starts at 12:50.

Superb video and song. The guitar riff at 10:06 is to die for.
So good, Sky Sports use(d) it on their channel.

soundtrack to the grungy world of squat living in North London in the early Nineties... Love it

This was my favorite underworld track for a long long time
the same style like dark train, but technically better, because more complex...
for me it's this one and banstyle
Dance music....Underworld Rules....They are the King.
King of Snake.
I agree but I think they’re so much more than “dance” music.
@@dsmyifydamnit you beat me to it 😜
never stop listening this epic
The least known most awesome track from Underworld.
Absolutely amazing!
Always get the chills at 3:13
Such an uplifting track!
I’m in Frankston wanting to give the Hellburn shuffle.carl Cox lives in the best part.
😂
Such a powerful track.
I want to see underworld playing this in Hellburn ......
Old school is the BEST

Magnifique... :o) Underworld´s our Star people of 90´...
I named my bearded dragon after this track.
when the guitar starts at 10:05 ... chills!
Incredible
❤️
What a fucking underated classic of Underworld :)
This video is as massive as the song. Love that a-cappella intro.

Not going over the board..but underworld is simply the best for Dance Music...gheee.
My favorites are Underworld, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Hardfloor, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk. These bands only release good tracks and amazingly they have all lasted since the 1990s when I first found out about them.
@Seguesound You sir, win a lot at life for this :) I wish I could feel that experience.
@Seguesound Really makes you realize how much of today's sound is influenced by what Underworld was doing 'back in the day'
Awesome!

Underworld and Fluke are less generic than most at the time or now. I guess I am saying that most dance music sounded different from these two bands.
This song is 30 years old and still still sounds fresh today.
back in the day when techo was about ingenious song structure and not who can make the loudest CoD commercial...
@StevenLJohnson A-FING-MEN!...You are right...Always figured them as innovators...
best part starts at 2:30 in my opinion :)
love
What an awesome nagging that tune is. I can take much more than 12,49 minutes of this.
Still the best ear porn!
❤❤❤
@DynamicoDesigns Personally I think the best bit starts at 0:22 but each to their own ;)
@disturbedfan211 I love it, but I think the best part starts at 3:13 ; ) - Great overall BTW!

one person prefers to listen to Tiesto. :\
It's a sample from their song 'Oich Oich', just so you know.
I loved the E.P. That track was on... every tune on it was mind blowing... heard it senior year 1999 doing acid for one of the first times... this stuff still sounds fresh to my ears
