Drew, the back windows is an engineering/design thing. The rear wheel wells are there. It’s not a financial thing. A lot of other cars are like this.
yes, for the window to go all the way down, it would have to be segmented and have an ugly fixed glass portion, like drew's old Sonata did, which doesn't work with the frameless design
But the front doesn’t have a fixed glass portion, and it is able to roll down fully

I have a sonata and I'd never roll down the back Windows complete, I like that.
Drew, most cars that have frameless windows, lower the window slightly when opening the door. That pulls the window away from the upper seal so it doesn’t tear. My wife’s gorgeous 2-door Mercedes convertible does window lowering too.
@@TailosiveEV It definitely does. I have a car that drops the windows and after a couple of years the motor wore out and snapped, causing me to go a week with the window stuck inside of the door. Too much motion.
@@nicholasi5260 do they all do that though? I used to have a Lexus ES from 1999 and it had frameless windows and I don't remember the windows lowering automatically when opening the door. Never had any problems in more than 10 years of ownership. Seems to me if Lexus figured it out over 20 years ago why are automakers today still overcomplicating things?
All frameless door windows will drop a couple of inches, rear windows will not roll all the way down because of the wheel well and the slant on the back of the door
You can turn on or off the backseat fan/vent from the touch screen. touch the temp to get the HVAC screen, touch "rear" on the lower left then touch "rear fan"
this might get you more air in the front. Its not been a problem for us as we almost always start the A/C several minutes before we go to the car.
I haven’t tried it yet, but I bet voice command would be another way to control the rear seats fan. Voice command is a wonderment and I use it a lot.
I have a 2021 SR+, so I’ve had mine for nearly 18 months. Taken it on many road trips (from home in Sacramento): Portland, LA/San Diego (several times), and to Kentucky. About 24,000 miles on it.
Most of the items you mentioned are not issues for me. That’s most likely because this car, like any other car I’ve had in 50+ years of driving, has its own Q&F. It’s just been a matter of becoming accustomed to how the car works.
I do find the limits on security and climate when the battery gets low (
If you watch "wham bam Tesla cam" you will understand the importance of the 10 minutes capturing what happens on sentry. Also, overhead glass tint is very helpful for controlling heat. The emergency releases are hidden for a reason so a 3 year old does not pull on them (believe me when you have kids you will understand this). I keep a glass breaker/seatbelt cutter in the center console so myself and passengers can crack the window if needed.
And where is the emergency release located in the back?
The reason the windows go up and down when you open or close the doors is because they are frameless doors. Every single car that has frameless doors does that. My 10 year old Hyundai does that.
The reason the cabin isn’t getting cool is mostly because the glass is so hot and it takes a while for the glass ceiling to cool down because of its thermal mass. The battery cooling losses tend not to be quite as significant
Also the heatpump doesn’t change the cooling rate. All air conditioners are already heat pumps. The “heat pump” models are called that because they also use the heatpump for heating.
Tinting the roof helps A LOT for sunny days. I love ours
Yeah.. the glass roof.. especially if you live in the South West US.
Its almost a deal killer for me. LOTS of UV input into the car. I see Tesla owners all the time running HVAC at 68 deg. I wonder why.. I run at 72-75 Deg.. a good temp. But with the glass roof you need it set much cooler to make it actually FEEL cool in the car.
They are apparently going to do the no stalks and touch buttons for turn signals... Also a deal killer for me. I drive 300 miles a day in the city.. I an NOT gonna re learn how to drive a car.. so tesla can save 50 cents. Absolute deal killer for me.
@@kens97sto171 it’s less about the sun itself shinning through the roof and more to do with the fact that it takes a ton of time for the roof to be cooled down. It blocks virtually all of the UV/IR light and most of the visible light but because it gets so hot and has so much thermal mass, it takes a lot of energy to cool back down

I would gladly have a metal roof.
But I realize the glass allows them to have a much lower profile car but still retain good interior headroom.
Personally I think it's a bit too much of a sacrifice for efficiency. Especially on the model 3 you've got to duck your head down pretty low to get in the car. Especially in the backseat.
Transport passengers for a living, that would be a royal pain in the ass for just about everybody. Plus the idiotic door handles. Imagine having to roll down the window and explain to every single person approaching your car how to get in it? To me that's an absolutely idiotic design. You've got to explain to someone how to open a door. Then the designer failed at designing a door handle that's easy to use.
Same with the interior push button.
Just put a regular damn door handle in it like every other freaking car in the world. And even better make it a mechanical link. That solves multiple problems at one time.
The reason why the rear windows don’t roll down is because there isn’t enough room for them to go down all the way. If the wheels weren’t as close to the door, then Tesla could stretch it and allow it to roll down all the way.
Also drew, basic AP is meant for highways only and NOT city streets. So your issues with AP and those parked cars shouldn’t even be happening tbh.
He knows that, what he's saying is that Tesla could very easily bring some of the function of FSD to Autopilot so that Autopilot wouldn't need to be limited to just highways, but they choose not to because it helps push people to spending more money on FSD. Which leaves people who just have Autopilot out in the cold a bit.
Windows have been like that since the 80's, cars that don't have a frame around the window try to be air tight as to avoid air whistle at faster speeds. I'm sure the whistling wind would bother you more not to mention any rain ... lol

Interested in the yoke replacement, air bag and all functions work with the swap? I will do research but want to hear from someone who has personally done it on their vehicle

@@DefStr8up me too. The window down function when opening/closing doors, so many cars do this.
It took us a while to get used to autopilot, when you do and do not want to use it and it's limitations.
It's kinda like when you learned what cruise control could and couldn't do back when you were a teenager learning to drive.
It's definitely not FSD, just a really good cruise control with lane assist.
BTW make sure you know how to cancel both or just one of them. it is really disconcerting when you disengage lane assist by twisting the wheel but have cruise control still active.
The rear windows can't go down all the way because there is not the physical space in the door for the window.
I don't know about the model 3, but the Y has emergency release in the back but you have to remove the rubber liner on the bottom of the door pocket and then reach into the hole and grab the nylon pull string and pull it. I'm pretty sure the model 3 is the same way. A poor design to be sure though lol

There is a manual door exit in the back. It’s not as easy to get to as the front door release but it’s there.
I just realized it’s available in the back for the model Y and not the model 3.
Idk if you tried this, but close all cool vents apart from one, the front one, more airflow, a bit nicer 💪

For the AC issue, if you schedule leave time then it will preconditioning of the internal temp so it’s already at temp when you leave.
The frameless window is more efficient. There is an emergency release in the cubbyhole below armrest. If you have the rubber insert the manual compartment to release the door in an emergency is hidden under that rubber mat.
Your auto pilot complaint is something I hope Tesla fixes, your basic AP is only for Highway use, and you shouldn’t be using it in city or rural roads. Tesla will likely never update AP. You are actually miss using AP when engaging in anywhere but Limited Access roads like Interstate.
I had a model 3 and the manual handle does not ruin the window trim. one time my 12v battery died and the car had no power, I used the manual release to leave and I heard a noticeable scrape on the trim. I think thats the only scenario when it happens. When the car is properly functional, it works fine with the manual release as the window still drops down slightly. the window needs to go down because it has to seal/unseal when the door opens and closes. The only other way to do this is to have an entire frame around them whole window (whereas tesla's is frameless). Frameless not only looks nicer but because of the cameras in the B pillar, Tesla was mostly forced to do it this way.
For the windows not following down all the way is engineering not manufacturing, it is likely because there is not enough space in the edge of the door for the window to come down all the way.
For the windows needing to come down a bit and not having a frame is because it looks better and futuristic. Many other higher end cars also have have the windows roll down a tiny bit when you have to open the door.
Why are there no manual releases in the back? In case of an emergency, do they expect you to crawl or break and hop out the window. In my city, a Tesla caught fire and the back passengers literally had to break out the back glass to escape.
You WANT loud autopilot alerts, I hate cars that quietly tell me something important
When using auto pilot, I learned just to rest my left elbow on the arm rest and place left hand on the bottom of steering wheel. Do the opposite for your right hand to switch up. You don’t have to do anything. The weight of your hand resting is enough for the steering wheel to feel the resistance and it never asks me to move the wheel. I have used it for over 100 miles and it has never asked to move the wheel.
Joe mode is not quiet enough. Just please have a mute option. I can see it on the screen if auto pilot is on or off. It is still annoying and too loud
You can get convex mirrors on Amazon for 40 bucks that are super easy to install and game changing. completely fixes the visibility issue. Great channel! keep up the good work.
Yes to the cameras thing. I have my cameras (rear and side cameras) up at all times. Using it this way for a year it is absolutely safer and superior to mirrors. When I’m driving I can glance at the screen and instantly see every car around me. Much better than looking left/right/up and then craning my neck to see blind spots.
My wife’s #1 problem with our Y is the ability to turn off the AC fan on passenger/driver side SEPARATELY. Diverting the air or turning up the temp isn’t good enough. And there’s no reason why she should be able to do that.
Do yourself a favor and get ceramic window tint on all the glass, it makes a huge difference with the heat without having to go dark if you don’t want to
I agree with you on your points and our top two hates are the phantom breaking in the city while using autopilot with cars parked on the side of the roads when lines are not well marked and the high beam issue you described which takes too long to turn off with upcoming cars. I agree with your last point. When I test drove my parents Tesla Y at night. I couldn’t believe how horrible the auto headlights were. Very often flashed upcoming traffic. Great vid!
I’m pretty sure there was an update where the windows actually drop down when using the manual override. The message was there before because the windows didn’t do that but now they do so there shouldn’t be any damage to the frame.
I wish the rear view mirror had the same tech as GM. I’d love to be able to turn my rear view mirror from a reflection to an actual camera view from the rear camera.
If you have any issues with autopilot, reset the initial learning process that takes 25 miles of driving to complete, and make sure to drive where you find that it messes up
Hadn’t had any issues with the auto headlights. They don’t adjust as early as my previous Altima, but so far no issues
Drew you can buy goofy Yeti adapters to fit your bottles in the holders. They are ugly but functional. Remove when done. My LX570 has tiny cup holders but thanks to the gizmo I can fit my YETI tumblers and the largest drinks.
Great summary Drew. Own a 22 Model Y and your list is almost exactly the same as mine. Love the car but your list is spot on for me as well. Couple others I would add - I realize that eventually mirrors will probably disappear, but unlike my other cars that have the amber collision warning sign in the corner of the side mirrors, I find looking down at the display to be not as useful and does not provide a visual signal to other drivers as well. The display screen also shows other vehicles in grey scale and I find it not as quick for me to discern other cars on the screen. Perhaps it's a setting. The other annoyance is the lack of a frunk self closing system similar to the rear hatch. My 2020 Corvette mid engine C8 also has the same cheap design for the frunk. For the money both charge for the cars, come on guys.... Lastly - if you live in a Northern climate that gets a lot of potholes, you need to be aware of flats on the car. Happened to me on the very first week I had the car. I also now notice many Teslas with flats on the side of the road. Perhaps it's the overall weight of the car when paired with the low profile performance tires. No solution here, other than to be super vigilant when seeing potholes up ahead. Maybe FSD will address this in the future! :) Keep up the good work.
The frameless windows give a sportier look. BMWs and a ton of other sports cars have them.

I live in S FL and it get hot!
In the event that I don’t precool the car, which does happen, the fan speed does not go all the way to 10!Even on auto and temp down to the lowest it stops at level 8 fan speed. I tried to manually put it to 10 and it still does not blow harder. ONLY AFTER I drive a bit it then let’s the fan go to 10. Anyone else notice this?
When getting in the car it prioritizes the drivers AC which makes sense for efficiency. That said, I usually put the front passenger fan on to help speed up the cooling process. (Through the seat weight sensors it will know to only activate the vents where people are sitting which is cool and good for efficiency as well.)
Here is my opinion of your 15 don't likes.
1. - Mirrors, visibility - all about efficiency
2. - Cupholders - Ok it could use some bigger cup holders, lucky most cups have smaller bottoms.
3. - Hold Handles - Probably because of the curtain airbags need to blow away the headliner caps.
4. - AC slow to cool - Yea I feel the old car (Non-Heatpump) cools very fast on max it will blow you away.
5. - Manual door handles - Necessary evil yet when you open while car is powered it still drops window.
6. - Window frames - yea ease of manufacture and assembly.
7. - Rear Glass only halfway - Door is too small to allow glass to drop all the way in.
8. - Manual frunk - Get the upgraded struts they are like 50$ and will open automatically and close easy still.
9. - Sentry Mode - Yea I would say it still needs improvements and optimizations, remember its a full on security system on wheels.
10. - Autopilot - Yea it is only for driving long distance on open roads not for use in city passing parked cars on side of road.
11. - Loud Alerts - You will get used to when it might warn you in certain conditions when not necessary and avoid it.
12. - Nagging - Yea I find that resting your arm on console or door pad will let you loosely hold wheel enough that it won't nag as much.
13. - Expensive - Yea I paid 52k in 2019 for our DM3 with white seats which is now what 58-60k?
14. - Including charger - If you are a new owner without a charging adapter how will you charge it when you get it home? This was a bad idea on Tesla.
15. - Auto Lights - Yea I have noticed at times it can be a bit slow especially in sharp curves but for most part its been good.

I drive 60 miles to work (weekends only) to and from. Sadly I live in a condo and borrowed my brothers new Tesla for a week to test it out and I loved it even despite the fact that I’m limited to the charging stations. To be fair there’s Tesla superchargers 3 minutes away from my place cause I live right next to a mall. Aside from that personal limitation most other things are small little inconveniences but honestly not really noticeable.
@@TailosiveEV exactly, even when I was using the supercharger it only took 25 minutes to top it off and it wasn’t even a bad experience, went faster than expected. I wish I could have an actual house or townhouse to charge it overnight but it’s not a deal breaker and still worth buying the car 🙌🏼

You need a roof shade, good tint and clear UV tint on the windshield it helps allot.
I installed 50lb suction-cup handles to the roof of my Model Y. They literally cracked the glass!!! Don't add your own handles unless it is a small one.
Under the rear door cubby mats is a cable release for the rear door s
I think people said the cupholders are too big and they made an insert to solve the problem, you are the minority 😅

I would think that it is in Tesla‘s best interest to make sure the car doesn’t crash in auto pilot. Regardless of development in full self driving.
I got an adapter for the cup holders in my Model 3 that allows me to put in large water bottles. I think you could really benefit from that. Got mine from Amazon.

Could you do a follow-up video going over the best feedback/explanations for those things you didn't like? I don't mind when tech has problems as long as there is an understandable reason. And I don't have time to go through all the comments.
Rear windows in pretty much most cars only go down partially for child safety I believe. Been that way for generations I think.
Rear doors have an emergency latch hidden under the cup holder pockets on the door.
@@TailosiveEV It's tough because, technically, yes people should know because anyone using a multi-thousand dollar vehicle that is capable of killing you SHOULD read the manual that comes with every single car. BUT unfortunately, realistically, all us humans are stupid and lazy and never do that and don't do that for basically anything and then complain that we don't know how to do certain things. So as much as it is on OEMs to adapt to that and make everything as stupidly obvious as possible. It IS completely possible for people getting into cars to actually know emergency exit features that could and would save their lives, if they simply put in the slightest effort (but that's too much to ask of humans). The info is not hidden, people choose to not learn it.
@@TailosiveEV Appears to be correct. Thats absolutely wild Tesla didn't include that. That's a safety hazard for if an emergency situation happened. I'm surprised it's not legally required.

I live in Vegas, get some ceramic tint all around. I ceramic tinted all glass even windshield and roof. Helps lot with cooling, costs me around 650 for all glass.
Tinting the windows will solve the sun glare off the screen. Also the tint has HUGE benefits to the battery range as well! Example; in the summer the a/c won’t drain as much battery because the interior won’t get as hot.
Most of the issues you mentioned don't bother me. I just get annoyed with the quality of the car. It feels cheap overall for the amount of money they charge you. The ride is bumpy as well even with 18 inch wheels.
In the UK the rear window not going all of the way down is a safety thing, so kids can't fall out, odd, but that what all cars are like over here.

I agree with the auto highbeams, i had a kia optima before and it too had auto highbeams and it worked great, but my model 3 LR i cant use them because i get flashed because its too slow. Also, the normal lights are so bright i get flashed a lot thinking my brights are on…
Who needs mirrors? The repeater cams make up for it. I never use my mirrors any more

As always great video...Like you I ordered my M3LR this year but on May 21. So I was informed that I will not get a mobile connector or a J1772. So I went ahead and ordered my J1772. But, the mobile connector was on back order. Fast forward I received my car on Aug 21 and it came with a mobile connector and also a J1772. So I canceled the mobile connector(still on back order). But I already had my J1772. I contacted online sales explained what happened and they had no problem with me returning it and they emailed me a fedex label. So I can't see you having any problems just returning it....Sorry such a long message lol

I don’t know much about cars but I do believe the door frame of the car is simply a size of the car thing. I owned a mini cooper and the doors were the same. Same goes for the rear windows. Smaller cars usually have smaller rear doors and the windows don’t fit fully retracted in that small door.
I just started the process of buying my first EV (2018 rear wheel long range model 3), coming from a hybrid. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.
I understand about the heat. Its 113 out here in the Imperial Valley...
#1: mirrors so small I can’t see people when I merge lanes #2: you can’t drink anything when ur in a Tesla #3: Tesla hates old people #4: AC diverted to cool battery, causing pets to die

Sentry mode and flash drive:
When calling Tesla about my sentry icon having an X on it they explained that the car does not write over the oldest videos therefore it will not record anything in the event something happens, I know cuz it happened to me, VERY disappointing. My aftermarket dashcam allowed me to flag a video as important, meaning it would not overwrite that clip.
In tesla cars you have to manually delete videos on the car display, format the flash drive or connect the drive to your PC to do what you want. (Fun fact: the tesla flash drive is washing machine safe! Still works, must be water proof)
My Dash cam I had previously was also accessible through Bluetooth and I could download videos to my phone directly!
After owning my blue model Y performance for about 8 months I wonder if I should have stayed with my Beautiful IS 350 in ultra white EXT and red INT. The model Y is overpriced and falls short on sooooo many things!
*The side visibility on the model 3 is kinda trash. I like how other manufacturers have added a light to the side mirror or have an extra screen for the side cameras. They only added the camera feeds to the center screen late last year or earlier this year.*
I felt the same way with the mirrors and after getting used to the cameras and trusting them I am much happier now and it covers a lot of area to the side of you. I also noticed that if there’s a car in your blind spot while you have your turn signal on, said car will turn red on your radar screen.
I have the Y and live in Texas. With all that glass I immediately took it to get tinted everywhere. It definitely helps keep the car cool.
I agree the car stops way too abruptly when I’m approaching a stopped car. I started just exiting autopilot when I see traffic has slowed down. Or I’ll scroll down on the scroll wheel. Irritating for sure
Sentry mode needs fast forward and rewind.
What I wish is a way to adjust the font size on the screen and I wish the notifications would stay on the screen longer or there was a way to request notifications to be read to me.
Switching from a 2019 Jetta to a 2021 Model Y forced me to downsize my water bottle from 32oz to 25oz :(
You can buy struts off Amazon for less than $20 that’ll automatically open the frunk, I installed them in mine very easily and they’re great (yes you still have to manually close it but it still does make it a lot cooler)
Yes! With the mirrors! That’s the first thing I noticed when I test drove a Tesla. I use my mirrors a lot to be aware of my surroundings in my Mazda
Drew.. frameless windows are the shit and yes the back doors do have a manual override they are just not as accessible as the front one are
Got my Model 3 in 2018, wife got the Y in 2021, and there is a noticeable difference in the AC airflow performance, mostly the max airflow… the 2018 model seems to push much more air out, on the Y it seems like we have to go full blast if it’s really hot.

I will agree with you on the high beams. My model 3 isn’t great with high beams. It some times seems like it works with an on coming car. It turns off the high beams and then like 5 sec later. It flash them on for a sec and back off. Seems like my car is flashing other cars. Idk if this is a software bug with FSD branch.
Assuming you like the best high tech, I recommend you plan on replacing that m3 within 3-5 years. Forget about 10 years! You will find in 3 years so much new tech that you would love to have. I had a 2017 model S and replaced it with a 2021 model S. The new tech in mS refresh is huge. Model 3 resale value should be good .

@@TheCreamRisesToTheTop Most of the people who do that can afford it though, so it's not a waste necessarily for them. It's an affordable luxury for them. Makes more sense if they're leasing though compared to actually buying/trading in that often.
@@VMYeahVN affording something is subjective. Personally I’d rather save more money for my kids than spend it on shiny new objects only marginally better than ones I already own.
Your gonna outgrow that car in decades. Maybe it be space for expanding family or just the tech aging. I know it’s your first experience with an expensive car but. You wont keep any apple tech piece for 5 years let alone decades. Why would you think this would last decades? That ryzen gonna be obsolete in like 5 years alone. Aren’t you a tech enthusiast?
@@TailosiveEV If you want the latest tech, you’ll need to periodically buy a new car. Look at how much Tesla models have advanced with new hardware. For example, examine major tech improvements in model S refresh vs one from 2016. It’s night & day differences.
Back doors have a pull tab at the bottom of the door pockets that opens the door manually. It's hard to access, hidden and not obvious. I haven't explained to friends about how to get out of the car if the electronics don't work, they'd forget in an emergency anyway - and so would I for that matter! I did have a friend just grab the manual release on the front passenger door before I could even explain how to open the door but nothing broke. It is a bit weird, I admit.
Had Model 3DM 3yrs. Windshield had tiny little sparkles, like rock chips or sand blast. Annoying tiny sparkles when driving into the sun. ❤Loved the M3DM.
Traded M3DM for Model YP 3mos ago. Windshield has the exact same little sparkles going into the sun AND NOW the wipers turn on making a smeared mess and do not turn off until turned away from the sun. Dry wipers are terrible, no way to turn off. Have to use windshield washers to keep the squeaking down. Late afternoon till the sun went down. Torturous 2 hours with only breaks when road not directly into the sun. White car with massive blue sticky windshield wash streaks.
Both cars same autopilot issues: In slower traffic following distances adjustable and good, at highway speeds with max at 7 distance varies, usually feels too close.
The Model Y has lots more room and feels big, does not feel as fast or fun as the Model 3DM. Still a great car. Waiting for the Cybertruck.

The trunk in the 3 was a big reason we went with a Y instead. I did have to get new water bottles too and went with these Sendestar 32oz bottles off of Amazon that taper in the bottom to fit.
Frameless windows are actually more expensive to build and engineer, as it requires the chassis and structure of the car to be incredibly stiff to account for the lack of a window frame. My guess is that Tesla made the structure stiff to handle the weight of a battery pack and a full glass roof, and were able to add the frameless windows to improve the aesthetics. They've been around on sports cars and 2 door coupes such as the Camaro and Mustang for a while. I can understand the concern with the window motor going out though, but the tech has been around for a long time so I'm guessing the issues are mostly ironed out.
The cup holders are way too big. I guess drinks, bottles etc is much smaller in Europe. I had to buy some rubber inserts to make the holes smaller so that e.g. a bottle of water would not lean too much while driving.
The handles are removed for safety reasons. In an accident if your head hit a hard handle, it can cause significant damage.
Just be happy that your door button have a pictograms of a car with an open door. Older Model 3’s don’t and you have to explain all the time what people have to do to get out.
Your frunk have no safety latch as other cars, so the spring is very powerful to avoid that the frunk can spring open while driving. But due to the very powerful spring, the frunk have that loud sound.
Totally agree on your Autopilot frustrations. It has been that way since I got my Model 3 in March 2020. I hope the new FSD beta software will also be used for Autopilot so that we all can have a way better experience.
@@TailosiveEV you don't though..using the emergency release is an issue when and ONLY when the car has a power failure. Otherwise you can use it anytime for the entire lifetime of the car with no issues whatsoever. This was already addressed in an update several months before this video was posted. The warning is from before the update but is still there to let you know what could happen in those circumstances
The mirror and glass are all about efficiency.

The “oh shoot handle” is something my mother-in-law would say. 🤣 I know you cleaned it up for the video but still funny.
I like the yoke in model S, BUT hate the tiny horn button. It’s not very difficult getting use to no stalks, missing top of wheel, and auto PRND, but you must drive with thumb resting on horn button to quickly sound horn in an emergency. Other Tesla dislikes are no blind-spot warning indicators in mirrors and no bird’s view to help avoid curb rash.

Not sure it's a manufacturing/factory difference, ours Model3 from Shanghai has its frunk pretty hard to close and latch properly with one hand
Granted, the user manual did say to use both hands, your Model3 seems to be an one-handed operation easily though 🤔
Also, that frunk unlatching noise, it's so LOUD 😂
Don’t sweat the front windows adjusting themselves when opening and closing. Lots of cars do this, including my BMW 328i Coupe.
I used Tesla insurance for 2 months, then went with someone else. I kept getting dinged for things I wasn’t even doing. I’d be going around a bend/curve in the street and it would think I was about to collide with someone/something and my score would dive. Another annoyance is hard braking. If the guy in front of me suddenly stops and I hit my brakes, I’m dinged. There are so many outside factors that kept affecting my score so rather than worry about paying $120 one month and $170 another I just switched to someone else, pay a flat rate, and can now fully enjoy driving the shit out of this Tesla MY performance…😈

Framed windows would not tie-in to Teslas minimalistic design language. They instantly make the styling appear clunky, cheap, and traditional - Much like traditional exterior door grab handles. This would be the main reason why Tesla doesn't use them.
I have a video where I use suction cups as the oh no handles. It helped a lot of people. My dad and grandma use it.

You can only do that in the FSD beta program. Technically AP and EAP can only do lane centering otherwise so only useful on the highways, and it's not as bad as you think
