The Mikojan-Gurewitsch MiG-29 in russian: Микоян-Гуревич МиГ-29.
NATO Code Name: Fulcrum is a twin engine fighter aircraft that was developed in the Soviet Union.
The C-RAM/Phalanx CIWS (Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar) system and CIWS (Close In Weapon System) use a 20mm gatling cannon to destroy incoming targets.

I love to make these simulation videos for you and I am happy that you all like them a lot! The graphics of Arma are very good, it almost looks like in real life. Rather simulations than real war!

When the phalanx is shooting so low and even below horizon, I think that’s hilarious. Think of all the stuff on the ground getting plastered with hundreds or thousands of rounds of 20mm cannon fire. Cattle 🐄, grandma in her living room, kids in the yard, etc.
How would a kid getting ripped to shreds by a 20mm minigun be funny?

You shoot someone down and all you see if a fireball and smoke whereas what you describe is incredibly horrific. Plus you found it funny which makes things worse in your case. The only reason why I shoot other people down in games is likely because it releases endorphins when you get a kill, I don't find it funny at all and I still acknowledge and am respectful towards people who have lost their life in aerial combat. No that won't happen, those rounds detonate after reaching a certain distance. There's a video of a phalanx protecting the US embassy in Iraq (I think). You can see that the rounds detonate after reaching a certain distance

Everyone is talking about how the CRAM is missing all its shots but as a pilot it’s terrifying to have to avoid getting shot down while pulling high G’s and wasting engagement time and jet fuel. You can’t fire missiles head-on without risking getting a face full of lead and conventional bombs won’t work if they’re the in CRAM’s operational range. It really is a feat of military engineering.

Plus it uses ai to fire on the route that the pilot most likely would use. This really forces the pilots improvise on their moves which increases the chance of getting hit.
Anti-Air weaponry doesn't always have to necessarily hit, for it to do it's job, as long as it makes 'em too nervous to accurately hit anything, it works just fine.

I haven't done much with the C-RAM yet but i think like with all stationary AAS you can link them up with a radar, this should make them more accurate and enhance their engagement range.
I think that would actually work. I might have to do that 🤔
this is bullshit scince you can clearly see that the point defense is leading its shots perfectly. it just doesnt matter if you change your flight path constantly. if he did stop his moving for only 0.5sec he wouldve been shot down. ciws is just like the tigris or the cheetah. its good if your target is either slow like a helicopter or when something is flying straight. try hitting a shikra thats not moving in a straight line and tell me how it went. youll see what im talking about. the effective range is more limited by shell velocity than anything else

I wonder if they could add "tracers" or micro GPS tracking devices on each mutation, each of these micro GPS would technically fly to it's target until obtained or destroyed
It would be incredibly difficult to manufacture a computer system small enough to control a bullet, and then you'd need to add secondary propulsion systems and flight control. You'd basically just be creating a really really tiny anti-air missile, which, at that point, wouldn't be worth the cost or effort, because you could just use a standard AA missile, which could bring down an aircraft with a single shot.
Itd be so fun to see one of these trained on a house, not for any particular reason but just to see the house get shredded like cheese.

No, in arma 3 all, absolutely all small fire projectiles are tracers. There isn't a model for non tracer bullets. I saw it with camera mode and bullets are literally flying lasers. So all of the bullets are tracers

Watching the 2nd one (at night) it almost looks like if the pilot flew low enough and turned accurately enough, it would cause the Phalanx to shoot the target for him. It did seem to hit the ground on multiple occasions (before actually hitting the jet).
