I know this pastor. I grew up with him and he is legit. He preaches the true gospel. We have been trained to think just because some churches are larger and use gimmicks to illustrate a point or even if they enjoy prosperity that they are corrupt. That’s not always the case.
Our church is also entertaining but it's still about God and shit like that, it's just not boring like everything else They even have programs for kids where they teach them Bible stuff too, but in a play style thing

Exactly. I'm usually cautious and skeptical when it comes to people preaching false doctrines and I don't hesitate to call them out. But in this case, I don't see why people in the comments are insinuating malicious intent by the pastor. Yeah, I probably wouldn't do myself, but hey, this is just a guy who is trying to be relatable to his audience. It's not that deep. He was just doing something cool with HUMILITY. You can literally see his humility in the way he spoke after it. It's church. Yes, we should be serious with teaching. But, we don't have to always be uptight. But as someone who also used to dunk on religion, (I'm still not religious just educated on the subject matter now) I think you don't realize the communal aspect to it. Obviously each church is different, but many offer community and counsel to those who don't have access to or don't seek it out themselves. Also what is in the Bible vs what people say is in it or twist it to mean are two different things. There are obvious cons to religion, but I think dismissive generalizations are not the way to highlight those. I think in general we should avoid ingorant dismissals.

The pastor is only making it more fun for the people and making worshipping more fun. It's encouraging, especially to young people. The video also said that there are already plays in the same building, but what if they are plays to educate people on God's word? It wouldn't make sense to have shakespeare plays in a church anyway. I don't think it's good to jump to conclusions so quickly.

B ) You can't really judge the past by modern standards and you can't dismiss the whole of something off of one negative facet of it. It's disingenuous and weakens your point.
C) There are far better ways to critique scripture, it requires more effort and research, but it makes the critique so much more meaningful. You'll find most of the biggest intellectuals who critique and argue against religion, study the subject matter extensively.
