I think you can buy the shards... what you can't do use use them (activate the character). Activating the character via shards (as opposed to getting in the banner) costs 30 shards, but an extra "copy" of an already "activated" character gives you only 18 shards. So getting characters via banner is always better. You end up with 12 extra shards, and lose nothing. That said, just having the 30 shards on your account won't "automatically" activate the character. You would need to manually activate the character in the "members" menu.
I don't get the guaranteed to get a 6* memory every 8th clear. it specifically says "Guaranteed to get 6* Memory after clearing 8 times(excluding the first clear)" which by its wording would mean I should get a guaranteed on every 8th clear, but on my 1st set of 8 clears I have gotten a 6* memory on my 5th and 6th clear while no 6* memory on my 8th clear. on my 2nd set of 8 clears, I got a 6* memory only on my 4th clear while nothing again on the 8th clear. so I'm not sure if I'm getting 6* memory from the 17.4% chance or the 1 guaranteed per 8 clears. I've switched to normal stages for now to farm event currencies instead since I just started the event 2 days ago I want to get pattons for my alpha asap. I heard that I apparently need 12 of them. 3 of each of the 4 pieces for resonance.
So basically how it works is the 8th time is the pity so if you get 6 star memory within 3rd try for example then the counter resets to 0. Most of the time I got mine earlier too before the 8th run, it's just there to ensure that you will have a pity in case you don't.

I Will give you guys another tips, If Let's say that You already bought the 1st and 2nd slot memory of Patton(Barton, I forgot the name) Don't worry about that, Just Save it for the incoming construct OR in my case I Use it for the Resonance. Now i am trying to do A FULL resonance for my Patton memory (because there is no limit at the shop so, yeah why not do the resonance remember that a 6* memory is hard to get and you to resonance 6* memory you need the same 6* memory (the slot doesn't matter)) so it does not matter which slot I am buying as well as gonna saving for at least maybe 2 or 3 sets for incoming construct. *Remember If you Resonance a memory, It will BIND to the construct that equipped the Resonanced Memory, so give it a good thought first if you want to resonance a memory
You could buy the 30 bastion shards and just sit on them until after you pull. I'm sitting on 40 A. Liv shards and don't have her unlocked. Hoping I pull her tomorrow. If not I'll just unlock her.

Dont farm C4 instead Farm C1 because you will need those 2-3 memory to overclock your 6* memories. This is a big tip that everyone should know and not mislead new players like me.
I'm already doing that, of course for the first time its ok, but the difference is not that much, still around 60 green things, i already used all of my serums that i don't used it at all from days, around 600, manage to get 3 patton, now on the way to getting the fourth
Darwin has a lower attack stat than patton if u dont rlly care abt tht then ur fine but in the end game ppl only use darwin at the top to get alpha to 8k bp

Hoping to get Bastion between my pulls on alpha but didnt, but i already buy all 18 pattons for their each resonance and cuz i didnt get bastion i might just as well buy him straight from shops and i can just S and SS him via interlude, also since i already get alpha and sakura, i can spent my bc for his weaponbcs this is the main reason why im looking forward to play pgr... Getting the Meta Alpha and husbando Bastion... Then after that i can just chill out savings bc for rosetta for my Alpha

You mean you are using Darwin 4 pieces in Slot 1,2,3,4? I would advice going only 2 pc Darwin and 4pc Patton so you get to maximize Alpha's damage. So maybe Slot 1 and 2 Darwin and the rest are Patton.

(Patton has less HP than Darwin on 1-2-3 and Patton has more ATQ than Darwin on 4-5-6) The loss isn't HUGE per say, but in the long run, if you really want to optimize your Alpha, i'd do it right of the start.
Well patton is very good for alpha and is even revommened as her best set. Many vets also say tht ull regret not summoning for her later bc of how powerful she is. At some point ur going to wish unhad her but its up to you!

I've been grinding stage S5 for a few days now, and the drops actually range from 59 reagents to up to 63, which would put the average drop at 61. This also means it's actually slightly more efficient than C4 (2.44 reagents per stamina)
Not even bother to buy Bastion. I use Tenebrion. Much better n faster than Bastion. Got Darwin 1, 4. Accidentally bought Patton 1. Then, 2, 3. Still saving for 5, 6. Even without fully overclocked, my Alpha lvl.63 reach a mere 3k. Better than not at all. Wanting Sakura, but Kuji no Sada is better than Unbranded.
kamui bastion isnt a mistake...stop making dumb videos when you can collect everything...we got so much time...but priority are the 3 4 5 6 memories of Patton
If u only farm C1,C2 or C4, u gonna need approx 2-3 weeks only farming those stage to get all 6 patton mems AND 2 dupes of each (for resonate later on or now) and I still have 1 week to farm for accessories and some cogs or weapon/mem ascension matz.

The extra bonus binds, but its fine you can still move the memorys to other constructs for pain cage

that's kamui bastion, otherwise known as A kamui. you can't get S rank shards for constructs apart from pain cage shop.
