  • Frank Frazetta an Artists Tribute book preview video (3Dtotal publishing books). A new Frazetta themed art book featuring a selection of 11 well known artists, creating projects inspired and dedicated to the late Frank Frazetta, the fantasy master artist.
The book is filled with incredible art works inspired by Frank Frazetta, ranging from traditional & digital paintings to sculptures, along with interviews from well known artists. We get to see the step by step process and thought process that goes into each of the projects. Despite this, I would not call it a how to draw book, but more of an insights books, a look into the thinking behind each step of the art work - For example, what inspired them, whether it's the colour palette from Frazetta, the composition, the theme, or even the style. As well as the art projects and interviews, we also get to see a gallery from each of the artists features in the book, plus there are some of Frazettas best painting spread throughout, including a small gallery section at the back. Which is your favourite?
Note: not concentrating properly I pronounced Fernanda Suarez name and gender incorrect in the video I think. apolagies to the artist for that, apparently I can't read :D

I just want to point out that the artist at 7:10 is named "Fernanda", not "Fernando", and I don't think it's a guy.

Yeah I realised when I was editing this one but it was too late by then lol. My apologies to the artist- thanks for correcting it. Thanks for watching!

Thank you - very cool - the TH-cam algo brought me to this 'randomly' but I've always loved FF's work. I'm listening to the audiobook of Conan - Red Nails right now, as it happens. With all of these advances in AI, I think it's just a matter of time before we start seeing full length movies animated in a FF style, which will be mind blowing. Heck, even just AI animation (or, rather, 'motion-illustration') in FF style for existing Conan audiobooks would be incredible. We're already seeing these fake movie trailers in 1950's "Super Panavision" and they look pretty incredible. So in another 5 years I bet anything is possible. Frazetta's spirit will come to life!

Thanks for watching and commenting! It's funny you should say that because I coincidentally saw a 1950s generated take of Star Wars episode 1 earlier today lol, I have a feeling its going to be a very popular trend. AI can do some incredible things - but it's also pretty terrifying ! 😅 Really glad you like the Frazetta book!

How did I not know that 3DTotal had been working on a Frazetta book? lol. Thanks for sharing this preview video though, I do like to see what sort of things are included before I make the purchase. Although your art book videos have cost me a lot of money! Looking forward to seeing the next ones!

Thanks for watching! Yeah it's a really nice book, of course a lot of the Frazetta work can be found in various other Frank Frazetta art books, and there are a lot, but this one is more of a dedication / tribute to his work, and it's really nice to see some fresh takes on the Frazetta projects.

hi there loved your videos just a quick question would u recommend any books or artists for like envirnoments cars n stuff ( for inspiration not tutorials)

Hey Peter, thanks for watching! Environments and cars are one of the few topics that I don't own many books on unfortunately. That being said I believe Scott Robertson would be a great one for vehicles / cars, some of the books are tutorials, but I know there is an art book or 2 out there for him.
For environments, I definitely don't have much knowledge, and there might be a wide range of styles, so it may depend what your preference is - Maybe some other people in the comments can help with this one too. But I always thought that Ted Narsmith's environments were really good, even though I wasn't a fan of his character art so much ( I know him for / am refering to his Lord of the Rings paintings, so he has great middle earth, mountains and such kind of paintings, kinda old school).
Also, whilst it's not a specific single artist, some video game books are great for environments actual. So for example the art of God of War books are great for that, that could be a great direction to go in!

Thanks for the flip through. I was hoping it could help me decide if I want to buy the book or not, but I' still so uncertain. I'm always torn when it comes to artbooks that feature many pages filled with text. I'm interested in great art and not necessarily reading about how people found a specific artist or whatnot. Seems like wasted pages to me.
Maybe the purchase of this book will boil down to a literal coin flip for me.

I get that, I am very similar with a lot of my art books too. What I usually do if I am 50 / 50 is I see if I can find it cheaper / shop around or wait for a sale. 3Dtotal do often have sales on, although I guess with it being new it might be a while for this one. Maybe you're right with the coin flip, leave it to the fate of the gods 😂
