I do think he is a big inspiration for many young photographers. I personally see his work with an eye of a men that can't get enough of young women do what he wants them to do. His portrait photos look all the same, their faces tell all the same story. He did not grow in his entire working life. He still does the same work he did 30 years ago.
Today I have seen his photo exhibition "From Fashion to Reality" in Munich. Peter Lindbergh is an grandmaster in his art and he created a an outstanding body of work. I highly recommend seeing his exhibtion in reallity. Really awesome and a great inspiration for anybody interested in photography, fashion or art.
