Mate, you're the first one I've seen pick up on the 'Headbang and Shoulders' gag. Noice. I cannot believe how versatile this band is - especially as they manage to sound so bloody good all the time.
Nanowar's bass player explained their choice for the video in a recent interview. He said they invited Madeliene because of her talent as a singer and because she was a fan of their music. He then went on to discuss their band's philosophy regarding lyrics. "We understand that some people dislike our music because it doesn't have serious lyrics," he admitted. "But have you ever stopped to consider that many so-called 'serious' lyrics are often ridiculous? They can be caricatures of complex ideas, underdeveloped concepts, or topics so out of touch with reality that it's mind-boggling anyone takes them seriously. Yet, some fans treat them as profound social commentary. It's no wonder other bands avoid us - they don't want to jeopardize their prestige with their established fan base. Of course, I can't blame them for protecting their success in this competitive industry."
By the way Nano is the Italian translation for dwarf, so… They are totally crazy. But the most incredible thing is that they are legit, not just in the studio, but in a live show. And as you said, it is a double difficulty to make comedy and metal, at high level. Thanks for the reaction, I really enjoyed it.
No one is safe with these fellas, basically they mock the overly seriousness with which the metal scene is perceived to brag about especially the European commercial , mostly heavy and power metal. Hail to Lichtenstein and Armpits of immortals are a parody of Manowar,‘a style, the latter features Manowar’s original guitarist Ross Friedman Quest for Carrefour [ a grocery store chain in Europe ] is a parody of Blind Giardian and it sounds more blind guardian than Blind Guardian have been sounding like themselves for the past two decades Barbie, MILF princess of the twilight is a definite parody of Rhapsody of Fire, featuring Rhapsody’s original vocalist Fabio Lione. Pasadena 1994 is a so convincing Sabaton parody that it could easily pass as a Sabaton song… yes, it features Joakim Borden from Sabaton, himself Their band name was a spoof and originally was just Nanowar 20 years ago. However, when their folksmen from Italy Rhapsody had to change their name to rhapsody of Fire due to some legal issues with another less famous band of the similar name, Nanowar decided to add “of steel” to their name so they’ve become Nanowar of Steel. Besides metal, they have many pop culture references and add elements of other styles such as the 90’s boy bands, in their song “Protocols of the elders of Zion of love” Disco metal is an amazing song with Lovecraft/ Addams family lyrical themes and musically - early 00’s euro dance club electronic music They are amazing, love every bit of them

The most creative italian metal band 🤘🇮🇹🎸😎
You should have a look at the new video of "Afraid to shoot into the eyes of a stranger in a strange land" by Nanowar of Steel. It is a hommage. :D
Or if you are more about the bodily functions/stuff you could have a look at "Armpits of immortals", a song about music concerts and festivals. >
Their only serious song ever is "Pasadena 1994", with Joakim Brodén from Sabaton.
Deathly serious. Should be the next reaction for anyone who knows Sabaton's passion for history.
@@elvwood Lethally serious.
All That Remains dropped a new song yesterday called Divine. First new song since their guitarist Oli passed in 2018
