    I have a 2017 Springfield. Last June I did a 3900 mile, 12 state trip from Florida to New Hampshire and back (before I retired I used to fly up in the summer and rent a bike from MOMS). I love the bike and have put over 19,000 miles on in the 17months I’ve had it.

      Sounds like a great trip. Enjoy the new Springfield. Great motorcycle. Thanks for watching and ride safe. MOM’s seemed like a great dealership and I loved the rides through rural New England.

    Thanks for sharing. I've hesitated to choose between 2017 Roadking and Springfield and now Springfield's the deal. :)

    Very nice bike !! I like the "vintage" look of the indian bikes. However, concerning the handlebar commands, I am surprise that the bike don't have hazard signal button. Thank you very much for that review, hope you made a safe trip back home.

      The hazard lights come on when you press and hold the turn signal indicator on the left handle.

      I did like the engine guard and even rested my feet on the flat portion out on the road. Thanks for watching and ride safe.

    I have an oil cooler on mine and heat is never a problem. Have ridden 26000 kilometres around North America. Totally reliable. Great motorcycle. Not great on gravel.

      I think an oil cooler is a great idea. Now with the rear cylinder shut off, it’s probably a lot better in stop and go traffic in the summer. I really did love the way it handled. Thanks for watching and ride safe.

    Like you say GA, styling is a subjective thing. This one kicks me in the teeth. I really find it a dinosaur of a design. That goes against a lot of comments here but just giving my 2 cents worth. And that front fender should have been left in the 1940's.
    I ride a V Rod Muscle and a 2014 Fat Bob.
    But now for something positive. I enjoy your channel and hope you keep them coming, regardless of how I feel about the appearance of the Indians.

      I didn’t like those Indian fenders at first either but they’ve kinda grown on me. I prefer the styling of the Harley-Davidson’s better though. Thanks for the kind comments and watching. Ride safe.

    Certainly a beautiful bike. I like how the styling is reminiscent of the old side valve Indians from years back.

      I think when it comes to styling the Indian Springfield has the Harley Road King beat. But then... I really like a retro look. The Indian pushes all my buttons in that respect.

    I can't figure out what makes this more of a touring bike over the chief vintage? Has a different rake and hard bags. Other than that it appears to be same bike?

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They say the Springfield is really just the Chieftain without the fairing. Never ridden the Chieftain so I can’t compare. The Vintage has the more retro look with the leather bags and seat and all the fringe. I just see a lot of leather maintenance on that seat and those bags. But it does look pretty cool. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe.

    That is one gorgeous bike bro. I think all bikes should lockable bags.

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Viper6 the lockable bags were nice. Pretty big too. I got a weeks worth of stuff in the two bags. Tight but doable. That included camera gear and laptop.

    FYI.... Your Springfield also have an alarm. You didn't mention it in the video so I thought I'd let you know. To activate it is just like activating the alarm on an automobile. Press the "LOCK" button on the key FOB twice to set it. You will hear the horn blow once when it is activated. If you already knew this, sorry. Just being helpful. Enjoy and ride safe.

      Blackhawk 247 thanks for reminding me. I did notice that and from what I’ve been told, the alarm is very loud if someone messes with the bike when the alarm is on. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I know you're looking to get another bike at sometime start off by getting liquid-cooled and go from there

    The problem with the bags was not your fault , after all you said at the start it was Friday the 13th . Lol 👍

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hadn’t thought about that! The real reason is I had the bags so stuffed full the gear inside was blocking the latch. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
