This made me think back to an old PvP server my tribe was the beta tribe in. The alpha tribe were a bunch of scummy raiders and our tribe managed to get everyone together to raid one of their largest outposts in the north. They weren't so happy with the fact that they lost six rexes and a battle bronto there, so they tried to hit my tribe in the HQ. We were with like 5 people and they easily had 14 people for the raid, yet, due to good engineering on our engineers and solid dino's, along with great strategical coordenace we were able to fend them off with very minor losses (2 flyers and some raptors we used as guard dogs). We just past the turning point of this tribe war and tilted the scales to out favour, then the server got shut down (unofficial eh) it sucked. I had my beloved scout frog on there. You will be missed clyde frog, you will be missed.
i guess 8 people from that hostile Tribe came to downvote this video. You are a legend for standing up against the largest tyrant on the server! i bet they were super jealous of what you accomplished alone and were afraid that you became too much of a threat thats why they attacked you

Absolutely insane. There's nothing this intense on Xbox version , but I've been playing since release on an official server and 3 tribes rallied against me because me and my friends "seemed too powerful" to be in the server anymore and I woke up to 80+ Dino's killed and my base half raided this morning. Think I'll be taking a break for quite some time from this game. Great video btw man !
+dave parsons This is what the games about, to be successful you just need to run on through all the problems, they big tribes that raid you and now top of the server etc will get put back down to size with hard work from yourself.
your base looks good, but if these raiders had half a brain they shoulve been able to break in a lot sooner strapping c4 on wild dino's and throwing them on your turrets
+Chip Snepvangers tbh its a bit too OP, i feel like they should change it that when the dino's die the c4 explodes. it makes offline raiding a matter of resources and not of skill, that is, if you are smart enough to think about this tactic. You could still do it with tamed turtles/dodics or anytthing with a good hp pool but it would require a bit more effort

Keep those vids coming, you're an inspiration man! EDIT: Do you think your base would survive a raid involving Quetzals, Gigas and rocket launchers? My server has many tribes which own the above. Would you suggest any countermeasures to the above as a solo player? I'm one myself.
a giga would need higher pillars for sure, and that specific area might be more accessible with one on follow, i.e. the cliffsides, choke points, etc. imo, best defense against a giga right now as the balance stands is simply 'hiding under the radar' as best you can, until you have some rockets, its the only way really another second rate option is the islands in the northwest, as the ice floes can easily force a giga underwater, even on follow, and drown it. so its usually too dangerous and unpractical unless its personal/vindictive ;)

Heyy man, you should do another, more updated base tour/showcase of your rebuilt/upgraded base?? Also, you should showcase (if not in a base showcase video then some other video would work too XD) some sort of way to basically "quetzal proof" your/a base. :)
I'd have a blast being on a team with you. I lack a large portion of the strategical thinking you possess, but where I'm lacking in strategy I make up for with mechanical skill. I think with those two things combined in any tribe, it would be quite devastating.
The good ole days where tactics mattered and players didn't have Iron Man suits and Alien laser blasters. I'm still holding out hope Ark 2 will return to something like this...

I like how 6 years later the only thing wrong with the entire base is new dinos that are bigger so he needs to move pillars forward and player skill truly incredible which he predicted in his base tour video
I had a jm one after 4 shots the polymer and paste requirements were in the hundreds to repair and it took multiple shots damn near every time. That's a lot of paste for lackluster performance.

Hey nooblets! Now that grappling hooks have been added how does that effect base design? Can they be used to bypass any of your defenses? Is there anything you can do to increase and improve your defenses to counter their use? Time for some testing!

Or use it to zip past or up a tower or to get on your roof or something and lower themselves down? Too far to travel and too many turrets I assume? And it can't be used to grapple up under floors from below to destroy them? Just questions I had after seeing how it worked. And was curious that if you were starting a base from scratch, would there be anything you would do differently now that it's been added to the game. I'm sure someone will figure out how to exploit something with it eventually, But for sure I can't wait to see what the base looks like now with the upgraded defenses. Thank you for the great series. +Wesley Ewald I would highly recommend the metal... start with stone but upgrade it asap. Stone is easily eaten by gigas.... although, granted, getting a giga to this particular location would have been a pain in the ass. lol

Tip for getting stuck in a black metal maze: Punch the walls till you die so you can respawn in another bed.

Mr. Man Nooblets i must inform u to always have your plants on "attack all targets" or atleast "players and dinos"
rezoult no they can just send in some tanks that drain all the defenses. This way the players cant get close to the base so the raid is much harder
