Why are you using waste gates. Get rid of waste gates and use 2 electronic bov to controll boost. Thats what drag racers are using now. I less problem to show its head.
The one thing I love about your channel is everyone seems very humble and I respect that. A lot of times people don't show their mistakes it things they need to redo. It's always so fun to be a part of everything you guys do in your shop. Ahmad
Wow, Dalt has mad glass skills. Who knew? Lots of good stuff in this video. It’s a must watch. As much as Tim helps out around the shop you guys ought to help him put together something solid. He needs a “shop” car.
Your safety must come first. Since you no longer have an ABS, you should use a parachute Second, heat shielding the brake lines from the headers is absolutely necessary as it will affect the life and efficiency of the fluid
I would recommend if your super worried about using a pressure based boost solenoid to run boost control of your wastegates and even the BOV switch to something like the Turbosmart Gen V eWastegate that they offer.
Man HUGE shout out to your team!! Without them these builds wouldn’t be possible!! And not going to lie this might be best looking build you’ve done so far💯🤘🏾🔥
@danhard8440 scraplife goes more in depth with knowledge and information regarding their builds. I do watch cleetus's every video, but as far as an educational car channel goes, scrap life is the best car channel on youtube.
I can almost guarantee that hood isn't going to stay on, I'd highly recommend dzus rails for both sides and the leading edge. Kwik latches don't have much support and have been known to not hold down hoods
That wastegate location is not giving the wastegate priority, you need the outlet of the turbo pointed at the inlet of the wastegate not at the 90 degree angle you have it at. Just move it further down the outside of that bend.
The real problem isn't the recirc, or the gate size, it's the way you have them plumbed. You've got them on the outside of the bend which is good, but the 90 degree angle for the feed means most of the exhaust on that large of an engine is passing right by. The gates need flow priority, even something like a 45 degree angle would probably fix this.
not a sell out but I think you guys should work together with John Malecki for those shop glasses they have, no safety squints anymore eventhough they work
Awesome accomplishments, I can't wait to see more progress. Looking forward to seeing the color matched hood as well as the build is so clean. Outstanding, Max.
Quit beung scared! Its just now starting to wake up. Tighten those straps, raise the limiter to 8200 and send it! Bet its easily able to handle 40psi and bet with the right turbos it will get well north of 2000hp! Im subscribed to steves channel and everything he builds is ready for BIG boost
Not sure if you tried to contact Steve or not but I’m sure he could give you some ideas on waste gate size and everything. He usually has the motor very well figured out before it leaves his shop.
Love, love, LOVE the C6 content. Keep em coming! That hood looks great. But it’s a shame to cover up the turbos. Can’t wait to see that destroy your bro’s crustang. XD
The pool noodle definitely got put on after a little blood was spilled hahaha. One of the few channels I actually watch nowadays that still has its roots!! Love it!!
When you do the waste gates, you should def add a second pipe that goes parallel to the exhaust so it still sends all the boost to basically the same place, just not through the exhaust. Would be awesome!
This was a good one. I made 400 to the tire with my four-cylinder turbo coupe Thunderbird. On a factory ECU. The struggles you have ahead of you are monumental, but you’ll do it.
Four-figure horsepower is incredible but there's something else I noticed today. Besides trying to catch every video from y'all I'm also a huge Donut Media dude and I was shocked when I saw a clip of Fernando's 350 in one of their videos! Keep on keeping on, your work is awesome!
The holes on the hood can totall be fixed by making that steel heatshield that sits around the teardrop exhaust a little wider to sit as close to that exhaust as possible. Either way, thing looks mean and can really put down the power!
I have finishing lines brake lines on my car also. Such an awesome company to deal with. 100% recommended to everyone. Happy to see their products on a TH-cam build.
I'm a little surprised that's not controlling boost better than it is. Granted, wastegate placement isn't great. Maybe when you add gate size, the wastegate pipes can be laid on a angle a little to help prioritize them a little.
Steve Morris racing engines are the best. He’s a great guy and takes very good care of his customers. No surprise that engine is making a lot of power.
Gate size might help the issue but I think the bigger is the angle that the waste gate is at compared to the rest of the exhaust. I believe the phrase is 'waste gate priority' and as built at a 90 degree to the flow it has little to none.
Back to fiberglass hood up with a piece of wood 2 x 4 2 x 6 2 x 8, etc. when drilling with the whole saw, you will totally almost eliminate all blowout

can you make a jaguar f type video? rebuild one plz or make one pieces
Thank you for changing those headlights... Don't think the colour coded headlights look nice ... Good choice on the black

You should modify a Infiniti g37 or a q60 with a whipped supercharger or a hellcat engine if you do it try drifting if
Good lord brother if you took the heads off and put them back on i sure hope you re-torqued the heads after that heat cycle!
The one thing I love about your channel is everyone seems very humble and I respect that. A lot of times people don't show their mistakes it things they need to redo. It's always so fun to be a part of everything you guys do in your shop.
Ahmad
My thoughts exactly
Dude really has a "motor trend" way of showing the little problems nobody does
Reminds me of Stacy David 🫡
I used to work with Tim back in the day. Best mechanic I ever met, he taught me a lot. Better not let him go!!!
Yeah Tim is impressive! Is there anything he can't do? Lee and Dalt are excellent mechanics aswell. This level of skill is inspiring
Wow, Dalt has mad glass skills. Who knew? Lots of good stuff in this video. It’s a must watch. As much as Tim helps out around the shop you guys ought to help him put together something solid. He needs a “shop” car.
It’s funny you mention that…
@@LeeCuh oh
@@LeeC Where's the Supra ? 😅
Was gonna say this last video. The guys got skills and deserves to get in on the fun!
@@Scyllx plot twist the supra is Tim's...
Your safety must come first. Since you no longer have an ABS, you should use a parachute
Second, heat shielding the brake lines from the headers is absolutely necessary as it will affect the life and efficiency of the fluid
install the wastegate in your 45 degree bend so exhaust go directly to it and not a 90 bend in a straight line
A guy doing an awd crx said that too.
I was thinking the exact same thing
Been here since the beginning of the build and it is looking great keep up the good work love your videos
I would recommend if your super worried about using a pressure based boost solenoid to run boost control of your wastegates and even the BOV switch to something like the Turbosmart Gen V eWastegate that they offer.

They will learn soon enough. The Dzus locks is the way to go.
Its very rare that I watch a full 30+ min video, but when I do it’s usually on this channel. Thanks.
Yoo facts and these 30 minute videos fly right by!! Don’t even realize it’s been 30
Honestly looks way better without that hood, conditions permitting ride without it and you see out the window better
You guys need to take some of these fast builds down to TX2K
That wastegate location is not giving the wastegate priority, you need the outlet of the turbo pointed at the inlet of the wastegate not at the 90 degree angle you have it at. Just move it further down the outside of that bend.
Love watching you build some insane cars and that Steve Morrison engines ain't no joke or no slouch

If I'm not mistaken that electric steering has to be calibrated with the speed of the car. It turns at different rates according to your speed.
The Vette is looking and sounding good
I just want to say you have an great youtube personality. Very informative and entertaining at the same time. I definitely enjoy you guy's channel!

now we need the definitely not a supra next 🙏
Simple fix and to keep the same waste gates put them in line on the 90s it will dump way faster on a straight path than trying to turn and dump.
That hood will probably look good finished I think! Nicely done man!
Awesome Build!! Great fab work on the hood Dalt, car is a BEAST!
Badass fellas! If you can get it to hook, that cars gonna be a missile!
That Corvette is Beautiful you nailed it💪💪💪

You should call Steve Morris back when you get the car done and do a collaboration video on his hub dyno and get him to tune it.😊
