Swahili originated in Tanzanian coast and spread on northern region of Tanzania 🇹🇿 to Mombasa (Kenya 🇰🇪) and southern region of Tanzania to Mozambique 🇲🇿 by business men and traders... Later it went and spread to every neighbor of Tanzania, thus every neighbor from Kenya 🇰🇪, Uganda 🇺🇬, Rwanda 🇷🇼, Burundi 🇧🇮, Eastern Congo 🇨🇩, northern Zambia 🇿🇲, northern Malawi 🇲🇼, Mozambique 🇲🇿, and Comoro island can all speak Swahili... But Kenya's neighbors Ethiopia 🇪🇹, South Sudan 🇸🇸, Somalia 🇸🇴 can't speak Swahili because Kenyans didn't create or spread Swahili words to other neighbors... Also after gaining independence, Tanzania 🇹🇿 immediately officialized Swahili as a national and official language of the nation while Kenya 🇰🇪 after gaining independence officialized English as their national and official language, but later Kenya 🇰🇪 added Swahili as their national language but not official language. Swahili is spoken fluently in Tanzania 🇹🇿 than any African country, Kenya use Swahili as their second language after English, while the rest countries use Swahili as their third language
I was woundering what has compelled the thumbs down? I love my country am inspired even more when foreigners love my country too coz then I see a future for it hata na zile shida zote tuko nazo.
@NubianQueen so true. Kenyan in Switzerland almost two years, now I can speak some level of satisfactory German. Nobody tells me woww here. My only heartbreak is the Kenyans living in Kenya, who maybe were a only couple of years abroad and 'cann't' speak Swahili anymore. E.g this is ess, and those other youtubers. That level of ignorance disturbs me to my core🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️
@@rembai4 It's not that Ess can't speak Swahili, but it's simply because of ignorance they have thinking that speaking Swahili makes you inferior in that regards! 😂😂😂
@NubianQueen I agree with you 100% 👌 madam it's as Africans, especially Kenyans who make it a big deal when a mzungu speak our language while when we speak their language they don't see a big deal on it. This is what we call mental slavery!
I watch all Chams media videos religiously. Thanks for the good job but seriously let's not be shocked by a mzungu speaking Swa. We should be alarmed that Kenyan start ups by Kenyans are not getting any funding.
Matt is more Kenyan at heart that just the language, i know him and his passion and acts of compassion including creating opportunities for Kenyans.
I agree
