I grew up on this synth. No idea why one came into my otherwise spare young life (because it was NOT cheap), but composing multitrack midi sequences with these sounds as a teenager doomed me to get into music production forever. My town/primary schools were completely void of other self motivated musicians. Literally no student bands at my high school. So, the multitrack function was my band growing up, & we spent a lot of weird time together. Such a fun board. My K2500xs just came back to me under unlikely circumstances, & I was debating about whether or not it would be worth it to rehab for my little studio. This demo was such a memory lane trip. Thanks a ton! I guess I better break out the deoxit, alcohol, & soldering iron.
These sounds are just the beginning, you can load New patches into the Kurzweil, and forget New Synthesizer from the stores nowadays. Nö need to go there
@@ToniJXN klc and beats by the pound used them , 8 ball and mjg producers used them specifically I think T-mix, alot of the music you heard from No limit, suave house and rap lot used sounds and presets from the kurzweil 2000 and later the 2500 in the late 90’s
Exelente desmostracion , fascinado con los pianos ,e pianos , guitarras y organos en ese orden entre los demas sonidos. Has ganado un nuevo suscriptor.
If you look at the design and control interfaces of keyboard work stations now, they all use the design concept created by kurzweil in the early 1990s!!

Hi first congrats for these beauty k2500rs unit. I have a question: all this sounds are originally from the unit or did you loaded to the K2500? And the last question: Do you know if these sound I can load it to my k2661? Thanks
Very interesting. I have a fully expanded K2500 (all ROM options) keyboard and I've never heard these amazing presets. Never really got past the Pianos. These sounds are definitely not on my machine though. Where can I find the data?
this is patches with internal effects (DIGITECH) or with KDFX? Thanks. I think thes eunits do not have a preview or demo example for patches but I could be wrong. I see midi light activity on the rack so I assume you are playing. Very superb style and skills you have.
@wolfgang S vukan starting at 22:10 - 22:40 & 23:57 - 24:09 are these your original melodies? If so, will you allow me to sample them for use? Thanks in advance.
Is there any way you could export these sounds as a soundfont for others to use? Been looking for a K2500R soundfont but I can't find one anywhere, so it would be really helpful!

How does the loading of new patches work with these units? I am considering getting one :)
Own the 88 key keyboard version, fully expanded (I don't use the sampling function). Still a favorite in my studio
Oh wow this sounds amazing. I don't know much about Kurzweill so thank you. Really incredible presets
just realized alot of southern hip hop in the 90's used kurzweils lol
Which sounds did you recognize?
I know that 2pac producer Johnny J also used the kurzweil k2500

Excellent demo. Classic synth capturing the best of Kurzweil.
2:07 No Limit Soldiers , been wanting to know where they got that sound
11:42 was used in the music for the Spyro 2 level Magma Cone

There are the same presets on the K2000VP (v3.54). Great sounds !
I've one of these. Just had to sell a GX guitar expander but hoping I've room to keep the RS and a PX expander I also own.
Some serious patches
the classic vintage ...

Yup
So does this share the same presets as the entire 2500 line? About to pick up a k2500xs and I'm loving these sounds
3:11 Arrakis Grand! Love the Dune reference
Keep making videos I like everything you are doing show more detail on how to use rack mount.
21:02 Animusic used this a lot.

Wowzers!
Why did you skip the cathedral choir? I was really looking forward to hearing that.
11:55 Robert Miles Piano ❤
The sounds here are very good, but these quality sounds are not available in the pc3 series.

My K2500rs do not have KDFX
@@wolfgangSvukan good to know thank you! I just got one and will work on my midi/keyboard skills to sound as good as you playing in this video.
Why did you exclude preset 118?
Where might I find one of these 😍
This model is discontinued so you'd have to get it second hand, from ebay for example
157 Aurora sound like Rammstein Feuer Frei
Oww 165 Digital Choir 😢😢 I want that sound 😔😔
I still have my K2500R and don't use it since many years, if anyone is interested let me know
I want one . These are 500 to 650 now. The sampler versh.
Hello, thanks for the job. Would you tell me what the difference between K2000 R and K2000 RS please?
S has a sampler
K2000 RS has an onboard Race Simulator
I have a chance to pick up a used one at Guitar Center for 400 bucks. I think I'm gonna move on it.

Sorry, no :(
How many sounds does this unit come with
are those the KDFX or standard?

It is VERY boring to listen to the same key, same chord for 26 minutes. Don't you know another KEY?
no, sorry
@@wolfgangSvukan I loved the key, thanks for the previews.
