One of the most disturbing things ive learned in art class is that eyes are actually usually in the middle of the head lmao

@@perturb-arte1577 the upper 1/3 of the face lol. Try drawing a circle smiley face and make the eyes exactly halfway down the circle & tell me how that looks 😂 but it works for realistic drawing so that's the point of the comment.
I mean if you think about anatomy I guess it does make sense because you have 2 huge caverns in your head, one at the bottom (mouth) and one at the top (for brain) so where else would they go...
That's the great thing about art. But honestly, you just under- or overestimate the proportions. Like, isn't it that you can (speaking of drawing) divide a body into seven (or 8?) pieces that have the exact same height as the head? That's so crazy. As a teen I didn't get this whole anatomy thing and I struggled a lot because I couldn't figure out why my drawn people would look like they've been hit by a bus.
it's usually just bc people either forget about the hairline taking up space at the top or subconsciously including the eyebrows because we group those together really easily but yeah ! all the freshmen in my intro to 2d art class were shook

12 years ago, for Xmas my Mother bought me a “Cosmetic eyebrow tattoo” coupon... 🤨 This was before they had micro-blading and with a traditional tattoo machine. Only thing different “was the ink” they said, “fades with time”.... 12 years later, I am still working with the same BLUNT brow shape that I chose as an 18 year old girl. So, I wish I could just shave them off and start fresh! Y’all learn from me... 😳

@otakurocks In art school, when they teach you how to draw a realistic human face, they break down the proportions with fractions. The eyes are actually generally in the middle of the head, despite how it seems.

You know. For the fishnet brows, you could make a contraption that stretches a fishnet pattern on a handle of some sorts that you can press on your brow bone and just do that.
