    Thanks Scott for taking the time to put this together. This is extremely helpful since most homeowners have no way to predict the water color except from photos. This video shows how complicated something as simple as pool water color can be.

    I wish my pool guy was this thorough. He just gave me a box of samples and let me decide.

    I am concerned about heat load. I know darker will be warmer, but do you know the tint where it stops being any cooler? White would be the coolest, but I'd like enough grey tone to get blue water.

    I like the aqua marine pool color, but we have moss rocks all around, including rock waterfall/slide,...Flagstone coping in darker color to match the rocks better and they will use this for the spill over as well.
    NPT Tile in Silverstone Silvermarine Aquamarine for around the pool water line wherever there is not rock.
    NPT Meridian Olive 1x1 tile for the rolled edge on the spa.
    Rustic Earth Ledger Stacked Stone for around the spa and fire pit.
    The pool has a tanning shelf, spa, and is 3.5 to 6ft deep.
    What pool finish color would help give that aqua marine water color, I don’t want anything that looks dark? Thank you!

    Great video. My pool is kidney shaped. One side will be turf, one side light colored cream pavers, and the back a light wood look paver. Also my neighbor has long green trees overlooking my pool. Id like to a achieve a not green and not windex pool color. Preferable light to med Can you give me anything suggestions.

    Good video, but now I'm more confused than ever. We have a small courtyard pool with earth tone house and pavers around it. We want a rich, dark, blue finish. It gets most direct sunlight midday as the sun comes up in the front of the house and goes down in the rear so it's obscured by the house itself. We have decided on the satin matrix wet edge product because we like the smaller pebbles. We like how the Antigua, Tahoe (at least the shady end) and midnight sea look on the satin page in the brochure. So given all the variables noted we are back to step one. what color do we get???

    • @WetEdgeTechnologies
      @WetEdgeTechnologies  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear that you are more confused:-(. I have seen both the Tahoe and the Midnight Sea have a teal hue to them when surrounded by brown or green tones. You may want to choose the Antigua. In most cases, it stays the bluest in similar color schemes.

    many times seen pools with dark tile or finish and later the owner was not too happy with it because the water was too dark like a lagoon

    This is a very good video, especially the last part. The ultimate color is when the "magic" happens and your end result will be a bit of a surprise. Nobody should depend on a pantone-color based print brochure, or their computer screen for what they get.

    But just a little friendly advice if I may:
    The quality, particularly the color, is a bit off. Obviously this is an important detail considering the content subject. Do you have a higher quality file that you could upload? Or perhaps the color can be adjusted?

    What if you’re in the Northeast with cloudy days?

    • @WetEdgeTechnologies

      Water absorbs the sunlight's wavelengths. On very cloudy days the water will be transparent.

    At 18:40 It appears the two photos are the exact same picture taken at the same time with the sun in the same position but it has been photoshopped to appear different. You will notice the clouds are in the exact same position.

    • @WetEdgeTechnologies
      @WetEdgeTechnologies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your inquiry. It turns out it was the camera's mechanics that caused a little in-and-out color variation. No photoshopping was done to the photos.
