That meat is sitting in the heat for longer than it should, I’d be careful with buying meat there ….go very early in the morning if you buy meat there.
Your contents will be helpful for expats & foreigners who wants to live in the Philippines. Its even cheaper if you go to a local markets. Except the salmon there is expensive
As I advise most foreigners trying to get the lowest grocery prices in PH, …. try going to the local public markets in PH where the ordinary Filipinos shop. They are called ‘ palenkes’ or Mercados where the meats, vegetables and fruits are cheaper than in air-conditioned mall supermarkets. The local public markets are usually lower by 30% to 50% than mall supermarkets . Foreign branded products are usually more expensive than local brands, so try the local brands. Happy shopping.
we buy our fresh produce from the public market known throughout the Philippines as "palengke" palengke has fruit and vegetable stands, fish and meat (chicken, pork and beef, mature coconut stations where they extract for you coconut milk, rice, eggs, flour, soy sauce, vinegar, chili, calamansi if you decide to check it out bring along a local as it can be overwhelming to the senses. Filipinos go to groceries too but only to buy those that they cannot get from the market mostly milk products and frozen foods.
This is hypermarket not hypermart. Prices in this grocery store is already cheap and those stores from wetmarkets also wholesale here for grocery products.
@@griefer1851That's what I mean, it's hypermarket! It's kinda typo error! But nevertheless it's the same meaning.😅 Hypermart is a large discount supermarket or hypermarket whichever you prefer to call it.😅
Not really different from wet market prices, in fact some meat products are cheaper sometimes. We prefer to buy at SM supermarkets, its cleaner, less crowded, more organized, and it's air-conditioned. We're not rich by any means.
Bottles of soft drinks are a lot cheaper there than US. Very expensive in US for soft drinks. Cooking oil is only thing that’s expensive there. Most prices are cheaper than US.
That's because seed oils aren't a big thing here. Those reprocessed machine oils are produced in way bigger volumes in America than coconut and palm oil which are harder to process.
S&R and Landers superstores are equivalent to Costco in the Philippines. They also sell foreign products you can‘t easily find in standard supermarkets.
One thing i noticed here they don't have any really big sales on anything here if you get a 5% discount it's huge here! Andy's 50 peso bonuses from shopee and stuff are a real laugh $1 less than $1 you think they were giveing us the whole town
those prices are absurd 2 cucumber for 100 + ? you can buy 1 kg for 80 t0 90 or even cheaper 50 pesos in public market 😂😂😂 or if you want more cheaper than public market go to bagsakan it is a place where farm fresh harvested commodities sold which you can buy at a farm gate price which means more reasonable than public market
Well obviously the stores not targeting low income population. This is how malls make money, the target population are middle income upper population who has a disposable income of 50K, not disposable customers.
Ummm just to correct you, you are not in Manila, Philippines, Manila the capital of the Philippines is west from your location. You are actually in Pasay City, the right word would be Metro Manila or National Capital Region. 😉
For fresh produce and meat, just go to a wet market...its cheaper.
Next time 😊

wet Market is cheap ..
Wet market doesnt accept cards
it's not just wet market because it has dry goods too such as rice, flour, household utensils and so and so I think you mean public market or palengke

Not really. Groceries not that difference but fresh products wet markets are just 10-30% lower.
@@griefer1851 Agree palengkes are about 10~30% cheaper than malls but you have to come early for any perishable goods.

You remind me of Anthony Smith. He did a grocery vlog like this when he visited PH
Never seen his videos but this is what we do when we travel to different countries 😃
Thanks
No problem 🤗😃
SM Hypermart is a bit pricey although it is nationwide, there are other malls or supermarkets with low retail or wholesale prices in the provinces.
This is hypermarket not hypermart. Prices in this grocery store is already cheap and those stores from wetmarkets also wholesale here for grocery products.

Yes! And condos are really beautiful there as well
much a bit cheaper for some products at the market like those some fruits and veggies

Price for Tomy chips
Do they have wholesale l8ke Costco?
We don’t have Costco, but we have a bit similar to that, from what I know we have landers and S&R, they are mostly go to places for foreigners here
We have stores like cosco membership, S & R and other one i forgot the name in which i am a member of both.
s & r is actually half owned by costco thats why it carries the kirkland brand
S&R and Landers superstores are equivalent to Costco in the Philippines. They also sell foreign products you can‘t easily find in standard supermarkets.

True
If u will go to local market it is much more cheaper
We didn’t see any
With the exchange some of the prices are cheap & some are expensive.
Well, if you're used to dollars these are very cheap prices. But if you earn with Ph peso, yep these are high prices.
True

Hi! We are doing great! How are you?

Mahal sya mamshie para sa mga karaniwang tao

Well duh Hypermarket grocery stores are not located next to sabungan. 😅
I noticed the spelling of the Philippines is wrong. You misspelled the Philippines in your tittle.
