The shovel head aka trouble head. The time we live in everyone wants a dyna that they don’t have to wrench on. It’s nice to see younger guys keepin the trouble heads alive!

Tatro is a good source of knowledge. i follow him on youtube also. glad he got the Shovelhead to start. with a bike that old i would rewire the whole bike just to help prevent it catching fire. never know what critters have chewed on or dry rot. good vid

If you want to learn about the old engines, it's better to follow Pacific Mike. Tatro is not setting a good example. I feel physically bad when I watch his videos, banging everything to the benches and just abusing the things. I just can't watch it anymore.

Then I would check oil flow by pulling plugs and hitting starter button watch for oil coming out of oil feed line

    Hello
Watch you guys show a fun style of life! Great video's, thank you for your time behind the laughter and good memories.
Wondered, as I fancy your style of chopper and I swear lol one day.....thinking of the ride and I'm not sure. Looking at a 1943 HD 45cubic inch engine, 4 speed trans (too transform).......do I look for light weight, simplicity for such a rake. or is the ride more structured to the frame. I like this motor but concerned it might be a little under sufficient to put with??? Wondered your thoughts :) ✌

That’s a gnarly platform! Anything with 2 wheels can become a chopper! Just gotta start with the bike you like and make sure you end up with a bike you love ❤️

If I was to look for a similar type front end.....what words correctly distinguish that style for look up and I wondered the rake of your bike as I like that length?
Like buddy - all alone trying to understand. Have a great day ✌

DO NOT ADD ANY OIL. All the oil that was in the oil bag has now leaked down into the engine cases. If you put oil in the oil bag and then start the engine all the oil that you added plus what was in the bag will now be pumped out all over the side of the bike and on to the ground. Start the bike and keep an eye on the oil bag to see how much oil is returning to the oil bag. You can always add oil, but it’s no fun cleaning the shop floor and the side of your bike from all the oil that was over filled. Don’t listen to this guy he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

... on ya buddies shovel head. There's a ground on the starter relay and if it's loose it WILL get hot. It'll actually melt shit if it's to loose like when you're welding. Plus the other connections in the plug could be loose or corroded.
