It’s hard for people to understand that DNB can be be interpreted in half time to make a seemingly fast genre slow down in their brain to make it enjoyable

Early 90's UK breakbeat techno was the origin of DnB, it then transformed and split off into jungle and then from Jungle the other half of the rave scene split off into UK happy hardcore and then both jungle and happy hardcore merged and formed into more modern style of DnB. Music always seems to branch and pick up new sounds and making new genres from it.
I've known about DnB since like 2015 from monstercat but I hadn't necessarily branched out until recently (like last year) because i was dumb. I heard a pinkpantheress song on my top 40s station in my city a year ago and was like woah wtf is this, so then I found out a jungle kind of sound was used as samples, and then from there I found more older jungle, breakcore, break beat, etcetera. Glad I'm here, this music is the best kind of music

I kind of drifted away from that idea because when I first listened to breakcore I thought it was mostly the hardcore part of the breakcore and when I started to realize what it really was, I kind of just got rid of the hardcore in my music completely and focused on the breaks and melodies and stuff like that.
