I lived in Belize from 1995 to 2000. Belize is safe depending on where you go. Some areas in downtown Belize City could be unsafe but it depends on your crowd. Most of the killings and shootings are gang or drug related. In most cases, they know their target. Visitors are hardly attacked. Yes, stealing takes place in some areas but it is generally a good country to live.

I went to Belize on a cruise, had an awesome local driver who took us to an awesome spot and shared local information
So did I. We spent quite a while there. We did a couple really nice side trips. I plan to eventually go back and spend a week there.

This video is a banger it has all the credibility as the STATS put it.despite the poverty,gun violence and gang situation Belize city is a very beautiful place.i would definitely visit or even recommend it to any traveller.the Belizean youth are not fundamentally evil or bad..they are just young pple put in a desperate situation.big up the the 26yrs for being positive minded and focused.personally I fell in love with the street vibe in Belize city.the energy is the guys bring is unmatched.i hope ACE will attend and enjoy the garifuna celebration.i hope Steven A smith will see this video😂😂😂.

Welcome to Belize, I'm an avid fan, and your content is great I've been watching from San Andreas to Corn Island; I mentioned those two because they speak the same kind of Creole as us here in Belize, great content with the Garifuna community in Honduras, but now you are here in Belize, where you can get the real Garífuna experience don't sell yourself short by not visiting Dangriga, as usual you are always on time, in this case you are right on time for a great experience.....

Glad u went there because when it comes to Belize City, most people skip going there because it's rep. Belize City is still coming up, but it has come A LONG WAY from what it was in the 90s

I went to Belize in March spending a few days in Belize City. I can't give a accurate judgement on Belize City but the Cayes are completely safe. Safety was the last thing on my mind.

When you were asking bro. Jose Espat what we needed to do solve our problem here in Belize, I would say that we need to become more productive, especially in the area of agriculture since Belize still has an abundance of fertile soil. So, we need for the corruption to stop so that the black people can be given the fair chance they deserve to prosper in this country as we were once found doing plenty agriculture.

It's hard for people to think the U.S. started this slow in infrastructure. Go to some of these old towns like where I'm from. I've been to clubs and the floor is dirt. Some of these places are so far behind because of past leaders.
