I grew up in a small N.D. town. We played nine man and suited up 13 guys for the final game of my senior year. You played every snap. Great fun. By season's end you were in such great shape it was unbelievable. Nice video, gotta pull for a man like this.

did the same in the 80's for nine man, D-end OT then gunner on punts also kick offs too. Only weighed 165lbs, now I should drop 100lbs and still outweigh my high school days lol
That story is why I love sports. Names such as John Riggins, Walt Garrison, Steve Tasker, Mark Simeneau, all played at small high schools. Some were more highly recruited, but Garrison wasn’t recruited and a friend of a friend got him a try at Oklahoma State. Played 9 years in the NFL winning a Super Bowl. There’s something about those farm/ ranch kids!
Ok, just started watching. He's not from Breckenridge MN alright. They have the regional maternity hospital. He's a North Dakota farm boy born in a MN hospital a stones throw across the river. The river is the state's border.
Sounds like the next Klinesaucer. Grew up in Alex, so I was a class higher but it’s great to see local corn fed farmers like that beating the odds and giving hope to the rest of us in this area.
I’m familiar with 6-man and 8-man, which I played, but I’ve never heard of 9-man. I’m surprised it exists because it’s almost 11 man. It’s only played in Dakotas and Minn and just eliminates the tackles. Played on full size filed instead of 80 yard filed like 6 and 8 man

I have seen more than my fair share of kids in high school where I'm puzzled how they have no offers. My senior year of high school we made it to the state semi-finals. I do not like how the NFL makes these guys so heavy. It is just begging for health issues in the future. So many NFL guys have played 10 years or less and have health issues because of the weight they were carrying. Anything for the money.
Well a lot of these guys lose a lot weight when they retire. I have seen some lineman drop 80-100 lbs. If you can do that at age 30-35 with 10-20 million in the bank. I think almost anybody would take that.
